Community Creator LordFrites, under the name "Flying Fries", has unleashed a groundbreaking freeware aircraft called "The Scrapyard Monster" that defies conventional design. This fictional creation is an extraordinary amalgamation of random scrapyard objects powered by a breathtaking Cosworth/Aston Martin V12 engine, generating over 1000 HP. With its versatility and jaw-dropping performance, this bush plane promises exhilarating low and slow flights, aerobatics, and high-speed adventures. Let's delve into the details and discover the marvels that await within this exceptional aircraft.

The Scrapyard Monster packs a punch with an astonishing 1160 horsepower and up to 2700 N.m of torque. Despite its unconventional origins, the aircraft's total empty weight stands at 830 kgs (1830 lbs). Cruise speeds can range from 50 to 220 knots, while the speed never exceeds 250 knots. This versatile aircraft can climb rapidly, reaching a ceiling altitude of 37,000 feet. Whether you're exploring short runways, landing on carriers, or executing thrilling aerobatic maneuvers, "The Scrapyard Monster" guarantees an adrenaline-fueled experience. Prepare to be immersed in an aircraft that leaves no detail untouched. LordFrites has incorporated countless references and Easter eggs into the two liveries included with the aircraft.  With 4K to 8K PBR textures and custom instruments, every aspect of this aircraft's visuals is crafted to perfection.

The aircraft boasts a comprehensive range of features, including a dual VOR/ILS navigation system, a set of dimmable and switchable interior and exterior lights, and external static items such as "remove before flight" tags, covers, and tie-downs. Every switch is fully functional, and the compact MFD (Multi-Function Display) provides vital information such as fuel predictions, radar altimeter readings, live power and torque visualization, magnetic heading and track, and more. Additionally, a Garmin touchscreen tablet with map, flight plans, and synthetic vision enhances your navigational experience. The aircraft utilizes the modern Asobo fuel system and features a windshield with rain effects, scratches, and more. With 26 working circuit breakers, 30+ custom sounds, and in-game checklists, the attention to detail is truly remarkable.

The Flying Fries Discord server provides access to a Blender 3D file for creating liveries, as well as aircraft manuals. LordFrites also promises future realistic aircraft developments, with progress updates shared on the Discord server. If you appreciate the immense effort that went into creating "The Scrapyard Monster," consider supporting Flying Fries through a small tip via PayPal. Furthermore, to celebrate the birth of "The Scrapyard Monster", LordFrites will be hosting a "release tour" from June 1st to June 8th. This exciting event features five group flights across mesmerizing routes and landscapes, providing an opportunity to fly together and receive guidance on handling the aircraft's more challenging aspects. Even a freeware mod has a tablet unlike PMDG

What an awesome plane! Can't say thanks enough for the hard work you put into this masterpiece of junk!
There's even a picture of Tom Ford and Leslie Nielsen on one of the left side ladder steps!
Take a gander around this plane before you take off, there are all kinds of Easter eggs in the paint scheme.
Learning to fly it is another joy in itself, you can seriously master this thing in the bush, fly aerobatics, or just cruise.
The sky is an empty junkyard, and you are the parts when you hop into this beautiful monster! 😍

Reminds me of my first Permit To Fly aircraft without the Aston providing the power. Wonderful stuff.

How can I steer this beast on the ground?

    - flaps up.- Ballast mounted.- Trim down (not all the way, but you'll have to figure this out).- Propeller pitch control low (Katana towards you).- And you use enough throttle to maintain your speed in the blue arc. You can turn with rudder pedals and differential brakes.
If you want to make a sharp turn, or even donuts, go full throttle, full rudder, adjust your throttle while turning and stay level with a little left/right stick input (brakes shoudln't even be necessary when drifting!)

To be fair, this is a default Asobo instrument: Garmin Aera 500. It is simple, has a few nice features but it's far from perfect... And it really wasn't difficult at all to implement (I can share you a Jonx YouTube tutorial which explains this really well).
I have no doubt PMDG will create something way better!
(And I hope, Working Title will improve this instrument too in the future, like they already did/are doing with the more popular ones!)

Super aircraft. Some payware programmers should take an example from this. 👍 👏

This is absolutely the best hunk of junk ever, in flight simulation. Usually when someone refers to "HOJ", they're saying to stay away from it. Contrary, I use this phrase with many compliments. When I initially saw it, I was like, did the developer lose his mind? Then after watching the YouTube video and downloading it myself, I can't stay away from it. I would definitely agree with FK01. There are plenty of payware developers that should take your example of quality or should reach out to you and ask you to be a part of their development team. Or even better, you should start producing payware "real world" aircraft for the flight sim community. There was a payware bush plane that was developed a few months ago in MSFS that I was really looking forward to, that was an FSX Plane, I won't say anything else; but they could surely use your expertise when it comes to texture and modeling. Or, maybe you could develop this model yourself, wink wink 😉 In any event, thanks or the superb job with this little "eye sore" that I can't get enough of 😁

What a wonderful bit of lunacy! I have just one request - please tell me you have that you have an actual V-12 sound set in the works. The pure sound of a V-12 Aston screaming as I pull it up in a loop would be fantastic. Excellent job to all those who made this possible - tons of smiles!

Love your hard work LordFrites . Thanks so much for allow us to fly such a fun little plane . This is what MSFS was made for . Sorry my review is a bit amateur but just wanted to show off how fun this plane is to fly . Of course I did it like all MSFS without reading the guide .

Replacing the sound is not yet in the work... But it's on the to do list. I have to learn and practice wwise first. But I totally agree, it will completely change the soul of the plane with this diabolic engine sound!

Thanks a lot. I've started developing what will be a payware, real world, aircraft! I don't know yet when it will be ready, but it is going to happen ;) (and I have several ideas after that, for payware and freeware too...)

Funny how you PMDG fanboys always jump to the defense, but have nothing to show for it. But swing over to the forums, and you'll find plenty of members complaining about a new plane being released without an EFB lol. PMDG is good at porting their models from one sim to another, nothing else. There's no innovation, there's no progress, their planes are as stale as the days they released...on FSX
