George Best Belfast City Airport (ICAO: EGAC) is a single-runway airport in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is adjacent to the Port of Belfast and is 3 miles (5 km) from Belfast City Centre. It shares the site with the Short Brothers/Bombardier aircraft manufacturing facility. The airport began commercial operations in 1983, and was known as "Belfast City Airport" until it was renamed in 2006 in memory of George Best, the legendary professional footballer.
I started this project in 2019, sometime after uploading my Eglinton FSX scenery, and have been working on it, at times, since then. Custom building models, models, textures and materials created by me, Jerome Logue. I have used the excellent Asobo Jetway for Belfast City Airport's Gate 4, and a few sparse sections of Asobo fence. I used ScruffyDuck Software's excellent ADE, to help properly adjust the Airport layout in MSFS Developer Mode. I had created several tall Belfast building models, athough have decided to leave them out, as there seems to be some great freeware Belfast City Scenery available on this site, which I haven't had a chance to download/try out yet, so this release is designed to be used with the default MSFS scenery.

Installation: Place the folder (jeromelogue-airport-egac-belfast) contained within the PackagesContent folder within the zip, into your MSFS Community folder.
(edit: there is now and excellent payware version of Belfast City Airport, so not sure how much will be added/updated to this project. I started this before the days of Google Street View and had always intended to update the other side of the airport, although doubt this will happen now, as I kept starting other projects anyway :-). I'll probably do my best to update for Sim Update compatibility in the future though)...
v1.01 corrects the apron that looked stripey in certain lighting conditions and also corrects the night-time illumination of some of the airport gate signs....
v1.02 corrects airport ground services not working properly, and has a slightly improved floodlight model.
v1.03 allows connection of airstairs (Ramp Connection) at Gates 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and has been compiled with latest version of SDK.
v1.04 makes airstairs less likely to behave erratically.
v1.05 is compiled with the latest version of the MSFS SDK, for compatibilty with MSFS Sim Update 5 Hotfix 22.214.171.124
v1.06 floodlights fixed and an erroneous very tall default autogen building removed from Belfast Harbour area
v1.07 removes duplicated PAPI lights!
PAPI lights should now appear in the correct real world locations.
v1.08 a few minor improvements to various buildings. (also hotfix to previous v1.08 just uploaded - strange Bombardier texture adjusted).
1.08 Hotfix2 Bombardier textures now corrected, as intended peviously.
v1.09 fixes an ILS and G/S capture issue - ILS and G/S capture now works correctly again.
v1.10 compiled with the latest SDK for Sim Update 6 compatibility
v1.11 compiled with the latest SDK for Sim Update 7 compatibility
v1.12 partially restores functionality and availability of airport ground vehicles...still work in progress...(edit: ground vehciles now present...functionality still be to be implemented...using default Asobo vehicles..trying to get them to work the way they used to....another update incoming soon-ish)...

I will be working on improving the models in this scenery, probably after I've further completed a few other MSFS freeware projects.
