Terrace to Smithers via the Telkwa Pass
The reverse flightplan is also included.
This is the VFR route that is often used as a shortcut between Terrace and Smithers BC.

If you fly the standard published route, it takes you in a huge loop north of Terrace then back down towards Smithers along the Skeena River. This route cuts across that loop and follows the power transmission line between the two cities. It goes up the Copper River, then follows Limonite Creek to the Telkwa River and on into the Bulkley Valley.
The terrain is rugged and this route is extremely dangerous to fly unless the weather is good.
You will see:

- Copper River- Clore River- Limonite Creek- Howson Peak- Telkwa River- Bulkley River- Hudson Bay Mountain (ski area)
Minimum enroute altitude 5500'

Terrace airport elev. 713'

Smithers airport elev. 1716'
