Naval Station Norfolk Scenery for MSFS (2020)
Naval Station Norfolk is situated in the Sewells Point area of the City of Norfolk, near the site of the battle between the Monitor and Merrimac (CSS Virginia), two of the first ironclad war ships to be deployed and is the largest naval complex in the world. The home of the US Navy's Atlantic Fleet needed a bit of scenery work.
This project is fly over scenery. It's not perfect, but should look much better than the before photos, even from lower altitudes. This addon improves the look of Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia, USA. The addon features over 400 individually placed lights for night flights and a Point of Interest Landmark making locating NSN easy. If you select KNGU as your departure airport, you can take off from Chambers Field at Naval Station Norfolk. Enjoy!
Installation:
Place the addon folders in your MSFS 2020 Community folder.
This addon is located in Norfolk Virginia USA.

@freakyd: I wish I had searched before going through making this. LOL Your NSN looks great! I made version one in 2020 and some update or something broke the northern end and I could not recover it. I whipped up another one using a different method. Only myself and a bunch I fly with used it and I put it here so everyone could get to this fixed version 2.0.

I took that as the hint that I should retire for good!
Oh, and as for modifying addon names, and rewriting the story, changing the pictures, etc, that can all be done using a single addon address - just overwriting, as Shay does with his MFS Addon Collector that I mentioned above.

I totally agree. One post and then update it is the preferred method.
I'm new to this and I tried to disable-delete the old NSN.
The new one was completely different. Only one mod folder, the old one had like 13 separate parts. The images and text are no longer accurate and it seemed the best to delete it from this site if possible. I think I have done that as I get 404 not found when trying to access the older nsn.
Thanks and hope to see you in the sky!
BTW: I recently retired with the title Senior Systems Administrator for a very large law firm. I feel your IT pain. 😊

It appears that for some reason you now have TWO entries on flightsim.to for Naval Station Norfolk. This one (https://flightsim.to/file/68690/naval-station-norfolk) and this one (https://flightsim.to/file/63983/naval-station-norfolk).
I don't know haw this happened, but it is usual for the new upload to REPLACE the old one - not just create an entirely new entry. (If we all worked this way, flightsim.to would be bigger than New York!. Take the case of https://flightsim.to/file/8349/mfs-addon-locator (to name one of the more prolific addon updaters). It would have no less than about 238 (and still counting) separate entries as of today, and probably another couple by the end of this week.
And it isn't alone. The object of the exercise is for each developer's current version of a particular addon to be an UPDATE of the original - not a completely new addon.
I don't know if this is spelt out in the Upload Rules or not, but if it isn't, perhaps it should be.
Apart from anything else, those earlier versions of an addon are actually redundant, and shouldn't be available any more - they're just wasting valuable server space.
Sorry - my background in It just came to the fore, and I've probably vented enough 9more than enough?) on this topic, but I hope you understad and agree that removing "old" versions of addons is a good idea.
Thank you for your patience in reading this far in what is obviously a rant by a stupid old fart, but believe me, it makes me feel better to get it off my chest.
