SKLC – Antonio Roldan Betancur – Carepa y Apartado Antioquia
This is the initial release of my scenery upgrade for SKLC – Antonio Roldan Betancur Airport which serves
the cities of Carepa and Apartado, and the wider Uraba region in the Antioquia Department. The scenery
has some customs buildings made by me to improve real-life fidelity of the aerodrome. Only the exterior
of the terminal building is modeled. This is my initial attempt to use PBR textures and materials. The
apron was redone to resemble reality as much as possible and uses the latest Colombian AIS information
from Aerocivil Colombia.
Features:
• Custom terminal building and control tower
• Apron markings to resemble that of the real airport – based on Colombian AIS information from
Aerocivil Colombia.
• Runway upgraded to show correct markings.
• New windsocks
• Runway profile updated to match actual profile.
• Optional: Aerial imagery of the airport and surrounding area included for added realism
-------Actualización V1.1-----------
- Improved terrain flattening around the terminal building to prevent it from looking ‘sunk’ in
- Apron markings are less blurry and don’t have a ‘ghost’ under texture, now they are sharper.
- Fixed modellib name and manifest
Installation:
1. Delete any previous version of SKLC Scenery that you may have in your community folder
2. Place the SKLC-Carepa_V1.1 folder in your community folder.
3. OPTIONAL: If you want the aerial imagery, place the SKLC – Aerial folder in the community folder as well
Please send me a message if you encounter an error or any other issues and I can try to help you out.
Happy Flights!

SKLC – Antonio Roldan Betancur – Carepa y Apartado Antioquia
mi primer intento usando texturas y materiales PBR.

-Update the name of the modellib.BGL (or modellibs.BGL, models.BGL, etc.) file in all of the scenery files to reflect MS/Asobo guidelines (Oct. 2020) to give it a unique name. An easy way to do this: adding the 'ICAO code' for airports to the file: Example (ICAO-modellib.BGL) or in this case, maybe sklc-modelLib.BGL, then update the layout.json file to reflect the new name. Always give each modelLib file a unique name.
-The Problem: MSFS only reads the first file in the Community folder named modellib.BGL and then uses that file for all others with the same name. Renaming it avoids conflicts with any other scenery in the Community folder and gives your scenery the proper appearance with fewer problems/conflicts with other files in the Community folder.
