Drag and Drop
This folder contains a repaint for the Grumman Goose for MSFS2020, available at sim-outhouse.com, in the colors of Grumman Goose ZK-ENY (c/n 1145), one of the Gooses that flew with Sea Bee Air from Mechanics Bay, Auckland, New Zealand, connecting Waiheke Island with Auckland between 1976 and 1988, when the company had to close its doors. Originally with the Royal Navy as FP495, it also flew with the NYPD as N1200V, went to Canada as CF-RQI and back to the US before arriving in New Zealand. It was sold to Australia in 1989 as VH-ENY and continued to Thailand as HS-TOM. It is currently in Germany, and has been under restauration for years now. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by the OZx team.

I love your liveries for the Goose, but is there any chance you might make them drag and drop? With all the malware issues going on, I'm sure I'm not the only one that is hesitant to click on an unknown EXE file. Not to say that you would deliberately distribute a virus or malware, but source files have been corrupted and sites have been hacked in the past and EXEs infected.

Oh, but if only I knew how... Plus, I wouldn't be able to share them with other drag and drop enthusiasts, given you are the artist/author. In any case, thank you for bringing these grand old birds back to life!

The new Goose is pre-alpha to be sure, but looks far better than the other simple conversions I've seen. I too took the 3 hours to download it from Sim-Outhouse just last night. And no, the right float doesn't come down, only the left was functional.

But the author made it clear this prerelease was just to cheer us up for 2021 and give us a taste of what is to come. And a tasty treat it will be as even the pre-alpha flies nicely and sounds even better.

If there is a trick to lowering the right float, I'd love to know it! Only one switch in that cluster worked, at least on my version.

I have no probs lowering both floats, but they have to be done separately

Three hours?! It took like 10 seconds for me.

I had just joined Sim-Outhouse and the default download speed was sloooooooooow, as in old school phone modem slow. The host generously upgraded me to a faster download speed, but only after I had grabbed the Goose.

A fully functional version for MSFS may one day come from the original designer company, and have a hefty price tag.

I did and when I tried to download, the download app told me it would take 3 hours to download. So I aborted the download. Later on, I tried again an I got an note from the website, that I had reached the maximum download...

There was nothing but a simpel converted version from FXs with no instrument panels. The the wing floater can not be folded up or down.

You might have seen that it was a work in progress?

And the floats do go down, look at my 5th pic.
