***FINAL NEW VIEWS on https://youtu.be/10aw3AiI-58  My late Dad was a 747/DC-10 captain for NWA and flew the "Charlie-Charlie" or "Checkerboard" approach into the old Kai Tak in Hong Kong many times...said it was his favorite in all the world.  I created a simple and short flight plan to set up a route he might've flown after crossing the Pacific to the initial approach fix on Cheung Chau Island (see plate) then to downtown Kowloon City.  I fly it with either the Asobo 747-8i (with the last Northwest livery he flew) or the Salty 747-8 (with the retro livery from his early days) from 4500', which is the missed approach hold altitude in the event is doesn't work out too well (see overrun pic). :)  If you want to watch me fly it first, check out: https://www.youtube.com/@bugnuts
