Custom camera views for the Douglas DC-3.
- Includes custom cabin views
- Includes custom instruments views
- Tweaked default "Pilot" view
- All slots are used, so make sure to check all the views from ALT-1 till ALT-0
- Warning: Some of the instruments views require to hide the yokes!
Installation Steam: Unzip file and place it inside C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SimObjects\Airplanes\douglas-dc3 and replace your old cameras.cfg file.
Installation Microsoft Store: Unzip file and place it inside C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SimObjects\Airplanes\douglas-dc3 and replace your old cameras.cfg file.
Until i figure out how to make this standalone, it's always best to have a backup of your cameras.cfg file before replacing it with mine!

Hello, there are no individual camera.cfg in the dc folder, maybe did it change since the last update? Thanks anyway!

Which folder you're checking? The camera file that needs to be replaced is inside your main sim folder: Microsoft Flight Simulator\SimObjects\Airplanes\douglas-dc3

Can this not be made into a community folder mod so you don’t have to replace an original file and easier to switch on and off and also less of an issue if the plane is updated? I have other mods of this type that are made like that.

I have NO IDEA how to do that, sorry. Of course it's preferable but i don't know how to do it.

Maybe specify the path as C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SimObjects\Airplanes\douglas-dc3

A follow up of my previous comment.
I found the issue and fixed it !! Now works real good.
However you may want to review your cfg file.
When comparing the original DC-3 camera cfg file and yours I realized you missed a relevant line.
[VIEWS]
eyepoint = -26.10, -0.884, 1.4 ; (feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical distance from reference datum
;===================== CAMERADEFINITION =====================
With this injected in your camera.cfg file, it nows works real good for me !!
Great views and very useful.
Thanks

Hi. Thanks a lot for the initiative. Sadly it does not work for me. The cameras are really offset from the normal possitions. For instance the primary pilot camera places me like 10 meters ahead away and outside the cockpit. I have tried your 1st version and the second version but in both cases most views including the instrument ones are outside the cockpit. I do use Trac-Ir and this is the first time I have had this issue. Would be great if you could figure out what could be the issue. I really like tha captures that you have posted here and I would love to have these views. Please let me know if you need additional information for addressing this.
Thanks a lot !

Let me investigate this. Let me delete my old camera file and drag the second file i uploaded here to see what's going on on my end.
