#Sightseeing United Kingdom Exclusive Drag and Drop

This is an 11 leg bush trip from the far south western tip of Cornwall to east Kent. Taking in the sights along the south coast of England.
Mainly landing on grass strip runways at some of the lesser known airports and airstrips.
You'll depart from Land's End St Just airport, making your way eastward along the south coast to Maypole airport in Kent.

About 390 miles in total and should take roughly 3 hours 20 minutes.

Installation. Unpack the UKSC-Bush-Trip.zip and copy the ukbushtrip-1 folder into your FS2020 community folder.
(If you're not sure where this is, there are tutorials in the FS forums and YouTube videos that will help you find it)

No custom addons are needed, but your overall experience may benefit from any custom addons you find for the following:

EGHY Truro
EGZY Salcombe
EGTQ Branscombe
EGCX Lower Manor Farm
EGBH Dorset Gliding Club
EGHN Sandown (and anything that improves the IOW Needles landmark)
EGKA Shoreham
EGKL Deenland Lewes
EGJT Spilstead Farm
EGND Lydd
EGHB Maypole

This bush trip is the first part in a series of anticlockwise flights around the UK mainland.

As always, a big thanks to f99mlu for his BushMissionGen , I wouldn't have had a clue what to do without it :-)

Hi! I am really enjoying this bush trip. However, I really want to fly it in real-world weather conditions I am only able to do that on the 1st leg. If I continue from leg2 onwards after quitting, the weather tab is greyed out. Is there a possible workaround for this?

Started this one great work . Not sure why but leg2 and leg 3 are in the dark. Challenging i agree . Is this by design . Time was set 17:45 I believe, daylight in summer but dark in winter looked at the .flt and summer is showing as season. So should be daylight any suggestions. Again thanks for this looking at bush injector may try doing some of these myself . Great way to VFR fly.

Hi there, just to say I had this too but it was because I use pause, to have lunch, but the clock still runs and gets dark! Always finish the eng your on then you can go to the next leg later.

Simple way around this... sitting on your next leg departure airfield, in the dark, press Esc and go to General Options... turn developer mode on... find the developer options menu & change the time... then turn off developer mode and return to your bushtrip. Enjoy at any chosen time.

    gazcorb.
Thanks for your comments. I tend to agree on the poor visibility above 1,000 feet or so and have modified the weather to have a scattered cloud base of around 3,000 feet with just a hint of haze.

    great bush trip.
weather let it down a bit though
cloud ceiling should be 3000ft asl
so as to have a good 2000ft crusing alt

Thanks for your comments. I think every bush trip author will have their own style of writing. I try to make it interesting as well as informative.
Sorry you find some of the directions confusing. A lot will depend on your actual position at the time of an instruction. If you're off course, left may become right and vice versa. I'll bare this in mind for the next instalment.
The suggested altitude for these flights is 1,000 feet above the ground, so unlike many other bush trips that use the same default weather, I used a low cloud setting to encourage this.
    Happy landings 😊

Flew first leg. So far, the descriptions are interesting and so far I find them to be better than the other South UK Coast trip on this site, but you sometimes confuse left and right and east and west. It says turn left to go west, but it's actually right to go east... This is a bit annoying. Also, there is a layer of clouds/haze at about 1800 feet or so and it makes it hard to see what's on the ground. Is that by design?

Well spotted. This explains why I failed my ppl cross country on the first attempt 😊)

Downloaded. This is the area I did most of my early flying.
Small point but isn't this West to East, rather than East to West?
