EGSU Duxford Airfield COMPLETE EDITION

This is a new version of Duxford Airfield and War Museum complete with ALL buildings within the grounds of the Duxford War Museum.

Note that this complete scenery includes all the objects from my previous Duxford Airfield and is designed to replace that version.

Every building is represented in fine detail with all signage accurately placed. This edition is Virtual Duxford!

The British Airliner Collection has been expanded with additional static aircraft complete with boarding stairs.

 It features some new spawns including two inside The Fighter Collection hangar which now has a fully modelled interior and opening doors. Crash gates B and C will also open for access to the apron.

The gates and doors are now fully automatic and will open on approach and close behind you once you pass through.

The above screenshots detail the new models in this revamped scenery.

Note there is no night lighting in real life as the museum is only open during daylight hours and the airfield is not licensed for night operations

It is important to remember that with all this additional detail it will increase need to have good capable hardware equipped on your PC in order to maintain good performance.

Most people have reported good performance on their PC's with this scenery despite it's detail, but some with lower end hardware may have adjust their settings...

It is for this reason that the original version of EGSU Duxford Airfieldwill remain available as a separate 'lite' version for those who basically just fly in and out of Duxford and just need the 'airside' view from the aprons. It seems there are no performance issues with that version, if you have lower spec PC then this is possibly more suitable. You may especially need to have this 'lite' version if you value flying with VR for obvious performance reasons with lower spec graphic cards.

An updated version of theAirshow Addonis available if you would like to see spectators, both versions of Duxford remain compatible with this addon.

Installation remains the same, unzip to your Community Folder but be sure to only have ONE version, 'detailed' OR 'lite' installed at one time. 

I hope you enjoy this new improved version, but please remember if you have performance issues it could indicate that you need to be running the less detailed version...

VERSION FOR MSFS 2024 NOW AVAILABLE

A version specifically for MSFS 2024 is now available for download. This is a 'compatible' version which fixes the very bumpy grass areas of the field and a few other 2024 issues.

It may be fully upgrade to MSFS 2024 standard in a possible future upgrade TBA

***KNOWN ISSUE****
A considerable minority of users have reported an issue of animated gates and doors showing as hanging in the air.

It is often intermittent, and likely caused by some conflict.

I can't trace the problem, especially as I can't reproduce it, and so I have no fix for it, I'm sorry.
