A livery loosely based on the American Airlines N917NN 737-800 and other 737s used in the AirCal fleet up until the American Airlines aquisition in 1987. This is also painted in traditional Aircal white vs. the AA mica system (greyish color) used on N917NN. AirCal (a.k.a. Air California) was a regional airline which operated a base out of John wayne Airport (KSNA) in Santa Ana, CA beginning in 1967 and continued to do so until the American Airlines aquisition.

Any chance for an update to the striping on the starboard side under the "Cal" logo on the bottom? There is a discontinuity to the striping in the lower purple section. Thanks!

I'm from OC as well and always loved this paint scheme. Awesome to see it live on in real life with AA and also in MSFS with your amazing effort here!

Beautiful job. The AirCal 737 and the other Heritage liveries on the A319 are regular visitors a YUL where I do some planespotting. You should also make an AA version of these liveries to give us the option of thinking that we are flying in 2020. I would certainly use both versions. Continue the good work
