#Fictional Exclusive Drag and Drop
Update... I have finally managed to get the tail numbers to play ball - so... now in 9 colours with tail numbers that can be read!!! (Thanks for the push KodiacJac)

When choosing the modern construction and looks of the DA62, why not stand out from the crowd with the X range of liveries by SmearyGrain.

With gold and silver inlay to offset the designs, these rich colours show off this craft off to its best

NOW!!! Available in a 9th colour! Burnt Orange (not pinched from the Aston Martin colour palette... :-)

simply choose the colour and enjoy.

Instructions: Although this is a simple unzip and drag/drop, please remove the style folders from the main 'Diamond DA62' folder before dragging them into your community folder.

Note: Since finding that another site was uploading my liveries without permission, I have chosen to assert my copyright (written into the documentation for the livery). Hi.
The designs are very good, but unfortunately the Garmin does not work with them.
    A greeting.

Jose, I think you have actually helped me realise what is wrong... and it is actually my own fault.

A while ago, I wanted the tail number to change from black to white for the darker liveries... so I had to incorporate the model files to do it. This has broken the Garmin... I have absolutely no idea how or why, but if I get rid of the tail number colour then it works... I will get this changed!

Love the designs, but having issues.
    1. It doesnt want to play ball with workingtitle G1000 mod, the fps just drops to 0-0,5...
    2. If i remove G1000 mod it works, but then it switches the PFD and MFD, Also the engine instruments goes to a cirkular dial, for rpm. As if it thinks the engine uses a carburator instead of common rail :/

    Hi M4rt1n,

Thanks for the feedback - I am not sure what the G1000 mod is - though I haven't changed the interior design at all, so it should not affect it. The mechanicals havent changed either (it is literally just panel design).

I will take a look, but regularly use these myself and don't experience the issue...

I found that the old versions, from around october works with all mods i currently have in my community folder. So if there something different between the old and new version (except of course the new colours). They are the black, blue, burgundy, green, red and white (which now is called cream, i believe)

    M4rtin,

I have managed to not only relplicate it but work out why... in making the tail number colour coded I had to bring in the model files and... for some odd reason (I have not got a clue why) this has messed up the garmin.

    Will be fixed shortly

What/where are the 'Style' folders in the main DA62 folder?
(You mean the original DA62, not the DA62X?)
    Thanks

Anyone else still get the yawing and pulling to one side? I love the textures by the way but one slight oversteer and away it goes....

It is a little wayward; I always find it tough to maintain an altitude without veering off to the right or left!

With version 2.2 the sim freezes when loading the DA62. To be more specific. I only installed and used the burgundy version.

I will test that - though I have been getting crashed with all aircraft since the last update so it may be that. I will feed back what I find

Hi again - apologies for the delay. I have now tested the liveris (with both black and white decals... and also with no livery) I got all to work with both straight off runway and also from a standstill. However, I equally got crashes to desktop from all three... and also from a vanilla livery on a C172 as well. I would be very keen for others to try... but at this moment I think its just that the game is unstable. Please do let me know if you have tested it further.

Hmmm. I haven’t touched the interior or cockpit at all, but will check again. Is it all of them or a specific colour?

Hi... I have tested the livery to check and I got the G1000 working every time. If it was a specific colour then please let me know and I will go back to test that one... I have to say though - as per my above comment - the game itself is pretty unstable at the moment.

OK. I did test these and seemed OK. Which one caused the CTD? Thanks [edit: just tested launching flights for the burgundy, cream and purple liveries successfully] I may need a bit more background to help..

I tried the black one...in the hanger everything seems to work, i can choose the DA62 and i can switch the liverie and it is fine. But when i choose the black liverie and start a new flight ctd...

    October 31, 2020
OK... now tested that one and it also works fine for me. That is no reflection on your issue (though I have had more CTD's in the last few days than ever!). I could suggest reinstalling the liveries (if you had them pre-update it might be worth chacking to make sure there are no duplicates). Let me know how you get on.

Thanks for your help, but nothing worked...very strange i never had a ctd with your liveries before the last patch...ASOBO will release a hotfix for ctd's soon, maybe than it will work again...

Edit: ok, i testet it with the A320neo and a new liverie, the same ctd when starting a flight...

Needs another updates, liveries are not named correctly themsels like bluex is blue which overrides another livery I got which is plain blue but also called blue. Be better if the naming stayed consistent

This was originally done before I adopted standard names - I have also noticed that yellow is missing. Leave it with me:-)

Should all be done with the new version - no idea why yellow was called 'cream' and cream was called 'white'?! Been through all the cfg files too to make sure the names all work and tested in game (just to make sure)

Much better only another thing you have the tail registration nr disabled inthe aircraft.cfg files. you might want to go over those

What do you mean by style folder ? I can't find it anywhere.

  • image
    SmearyGrain replied Author
    October 09, 2020
Sorry - should really update it to make it more straight forward! Basically; download -> unzip -> open the main folder and remove the folders (they are named by colour) -> drag these into your community folder.

If you just put the main container folder in then it will not read the colour files.
