The file is used to calculate A320 take-off and landing performance values.
I hope it is of help and satisfaction.

HOW TO INSTALL:

- Download the zip. file.
- Extract the file
- Open the Excel file.

HOW TO USE:

- Set "blue" values based on various weather, runway and aircraft data.
- The "green" values, obtained from the setup done before (blue value), will be those to be used in the FMGS or to be taken into     consideration.

P.S:

- Wing & Engine antifreeze can only be selected if the temperature is 10 degrees or lower.

- If the values set for take-off "are not admissible" the results will not be visible "NA".
Modify the aircraft configuration parameters (TOW - Flap conf. - Ari cond)

- CWY => Clearway is a defined rectangular area, on land or water, above which an aircraft can make part of its initial climb up to a       specified height.
- VLS  => Lowest Selectable Speed is the slowest speed the Airbus lets you fly. (Represented by the top of an amber strip along the     airspeed scale on the PFD)

Recent Changelog for 1.5

Changed some calculation parameters.

Added the slope runway calculator

OAT  °C The value cannot be translated below -20, but there is a temperature lower, for example -30 or -40, how to fix it?

Great tool! I've been using it for a while, nice addition 😊

Nice excel work, but this calc is not usable for A32NX. This plane is using different engine models and CG/trim values. Only reliable place to find proper value for A32NX is official FBW checklist. This is scam (A32NX in tag).

I really love this takeoff and landing performance

is their away to do the takeoff weights and landing weights by pounds it would make a lot of easier.

Hello, thank's a lot ! All data are working fine exept the value of "THS ". It's always "#N/D" whatever the value given to "TOCG%".

Thank's for help !

Cool tool! For all with no excel, you can use open office!! FOC!!! I didn´t find an answer for the trim settings?! I got a value of 52 UP :-p .... hmmm ... What could be wrong? My date filled in are like the same on your picture on the top ..

Tried to insert the same values from the screenshot from the preview in OpenOffice, but it states "THS FOR 30,5%: 50UP"
Also when i change the values it states ridiculous trim values. So dosent work in OpenOffice for the time beeing.

Otherwise, excelent!

really useful piece of work thank you!
I wonder if for a future update you could look into getting runway data from the free MakeRwys utility by Pete Dowson which provides an xml of all your installed runways. That information could then be inserted automatically just by typing the airport code

Does anyone know where I could find the rules that these calculations are based on? I would like to look at doing a little pc app or a web app that could become handy. Fenix calculates this by default but the FBW neo doesn't, except the V1 etc.

The rules are the tables given by Airbus according to the different factors for takeoff, such as takeoff weight, flap setting, A/C ON or OFF, deice type and setting, QNH, temperature, runway length, altitude and slope, wind component relative to runway axis and the mathematical formula to calculate the resulting wind speed, head or tail, and so on. This is a great idea to want to make your own, but it is A LOT of work, even for a single plane type.

Hello, is this for the Flybywire A32NX or for the Fenix A320?

Doesn't work for the A32NX and for the Fenix you actually don't need it bc it has it's own calculation.

How do you find out runway slope

  1. Subtract the elevation of the lower end of the runway from the higher end. For example, if the elevation of the higher end of the runway is 4,400 feet, and the lower end of the runway is 4,370 feet, then subtracting 4,000 by 4,370 results in 30 feet.
  2. Divide the difference of the elevations by the length of the runway. For example, the length of the runway is 3,000 feet. Dividing 30 by 3,000 results in 0.01.
  3. Multiply that number by 100 to obtain the slope of the runway. For example, the slope is 3, or a gradient of 3%.

Practical Example:

EKCH Runway 04R/22L:

The highest elevation is at the 04R threshold and is 12'

the lowest is at 22L and is 8'

The length of the runway is 10827' long.

So the calculation will look like this 12-8 = 4

(4/10827) * 100 = 0.037 degree slope

Slope can only be between -2 and 2%? There are plenty of runways that have greater slopes than that (ie: PANC Rwy 7L. Slope of 33.2%)

i'm pretty sure you made a mistake in your calculation, PANC RWY07L slope is -0,33

Good evening, after several downloads of this file it is impossible for me to be able to obtain the small arrow which allows to change either the CWY - RWY COND or THRUST. How do I go about doing this? Thank you for your help

When I try to enter data this message pops up all the time restricting me to finish adding data: "There are one or more circular reference where a formula refers to its own cell either directly or indirectly". How can I fix it?
