This is a review of the INVERCARGILL (NZNV) scenery product - the MSFS2024 version - and will feature in one of my future full video reviews in due course. For the price, the product is about right. Currently, as of today (27th December 2025) the product is on sale at both Flightsim.To (for UK£6.47 for just 10 more hours now) and on Simmarket (for EURO €7.79 for 16 more days - both prices include TAX/VAT). Visually, the scenery is very nice and is pretty much complete as far as the airport chart goes. However, for MSFS2024, I would have expected much more. There are no people and no attempt to develop either the Control Tower or any of the buildings or the Terminal internally at all. On the plus side, the night lighting is good quality and the airport blends in well with the default terrain. With the advent of new features in MSFS2024, you'd have thought that the developer might have utilised these features to bring the scenery more to life - but this is not so. However, this scenery works in both MSFS2020 and 2024 which is a bonus for those who still use the older version of the Simulator. On the whole, it is a nice airport and does the job. However, much more could have been done in the MSFS2024 version, even for this low price. We will see. Lee (virtualairlinepilot.org)

Visually this is good, the buildings seem to represent the real world airport. This is not GSX friendly though (and is going to be be the basis of this review) - I can see why a profile wasn't included with the purchase. The parking positions are listed incorrectly in the Sim and appear as GA Ramps. There is static GSE all over the place which blocks potential paths for GSX GSE placement with no options to remove it from the install file. While I get the static GSE makes the airport looking busy and functional, but why is there no option to remove it? Fortunately the price of the scenery is reasonably low.

This is great rendition of Invercargill Airport. I have worked there extensively and was the surveyor in charge of the terminal upgrade and surrounding area. I also grew up on this airport; the only thing it is missing is the smell of cows from surrounding paddocks. In other words lots of memories here, great to have it look right in the sim, thanks. I was going to make my own, don't have to now. I collected a lot of photos for this airport though (I got airside permission). Happy to give you this, let me know. A few things missing, the new private jet hanger down by the fuel tanks, the helipad by the fuel tanks, and the new Air NZ maintenance building near the grass runway 30. Also the VOR is the wrong style. The fencing around it for the most part is not security fencing, it is mostly farm fencing for cattle (wooden post and 3 wire fence). The stuff that the public can get to though looks great.
