To complete the atmosphere were used our own 3D objects and objects from other authors with their written consent. You can find their names in the " Acknowledgments / Licenses" section. Many thanks to them for their work.
With an eye for detail, this airport was created on the basis of photo documentation obtained by a personal visit to the airport ( April 2023 ), on the basis of satellite images and accurate information from the AIP CZ / airport maps. So, the airport was created from the most up-to-date data available at the time of creation.
Scenery description
The basis of this scenery is an ortho photo map. It has been retouched in color to better fit the Bing map used in the MSFS. Airport description
The history of Ostrava - Mošnov International Airport dates back to the first decade of the last century. Here in the then village of Harty lived the Žurovcov brothers, regional aviation pioneers who carried out their work and experiments in the years 1909 - 1914. After WW1, the brothers Josef and Vilém returned to civilian flying with an airplane bought from war surpluses. However, their business ended in time due to a lack of funds. The place where the Ostrava airport is now located was used for air traffic for the first time by the German Luftwaffe, which built a field airport here in 1939 after the occupation of Czechoslovakia for the preparation of an attack on Poland. In May 1945, on the other hand, they were used by the first Czechoslovak mixed air division. Then followed a period of inactivity and the land was returned to its original purpose, that is agricultural production.
Modern history begins in 1956 with the start of construction work on the current airport. It was clear from the beginning that there would not only be traffic here, but that the airport would primarily serve the needs of the military. The official start of civil air traffic is dated October 16, 1959, when the TU - 104 A aircraft landed here. The air traffic provided by ČSA included mainly domestic, but also irregular foreign flights. During them, all types of ČSA transport aircraft, whether piston or jet, took turns on the grounds of the Mošnov airport. In the 1960s and 1970s, there was also air taxi operation. The year 1989 became a significant turning point. Soon after that, in 1993, the activities of the military part of the airport came to an end and thus all concerns related to the operation of the airport were transferred to the shoulders of ČSL. July 1, 2004 was a date when the Ostrava airport was transferred from the property of the Czech Airport Administration, s.p. into the ownership of the Moravian-Silesian Region. Ostrava Airport has become a dynamically developing organism. Today, you can meet here airplanes of various carriers, without exaggeration, from all over the world on charter flights, as well as machines of domestic airlines. Ostrava International Airport has become an important partner for the development of the entire Moravian-Silesian region.
Currently, the following companies operate from this airport on regular routes are: LOT, Ryanair, Travel Service and Smart Wings. On charter lines: Bulgarian Air Charter, CSA and others. Among the cargo companies here you can see: DHL Aviation, Uzbekistan Airways and others. Also, thanks to companies like IAC and JOB-AIR Technic, you can meet other beautiful planes at this airport.

Jako zaměstnanec letiště můžu říct, že je scenérie opravdu krásně udělaná. Každopádně doufám v dodělaní nové cargo stojánky.

Thank you guys, outstanding work as usually. I own all products of yours and I am looking forward for the next one. I am missing hand crafted Sliač in the sim, but I am not sure...the airport is still used by military. As major "Terazky" Haluška said: "Kefalín, není ste vy americký špión? Nechcete odfotografovať kasárne? 😊
Hello pilotsniper59 We really appreciate your support. We are glad that you are satisfied with our work. Thank you. We wrote third official request to Ministry of Defense SR regarding Sliac airport access a few days ago. Still waiting. Airport is clasified as military and reconstruction works are right now there. So, we can not do enything, just waiting for MO SR. Right now we are working on another projects. You have something to look forward to :) Your FPS.

I am from Frýdek Místek and LKMT is my home airport along with Frýdlant LKFR. I was happy to purchase. It is really nicely done including the interior. However, I have another problem. I do a lot of flying with VR HP G2 and here is the problem with fps. I have an Nvidia 3070 graphics card, and according to your propositions it should be 4070, so when flying over the airport, my fps drops to 11 fps, which is already reflected in image chopping. I fly through other purchased airports with approx. 28 fps. Apparently LKMT is done in 4k or even 8k and my card can't handle it anymore. Do you have a "weaker" version of LKMT? :-) Sikora M.
Hello Mr. Sikora. Thank you very much for purchasing our product. You are the fourth one who have some fps problem so far. We tested the scenery, but without VR. Everything worked normally. However, we are currently working on an update that should help the fps a bit. Have a nice day. Thank you for patient. FPS
Hello Mr.Sikora. Could you please provide to us your PC hardware on email: flying.partners.slovakia.helpdesk@gmail.com ? Thank you. FPS
Hi from Frydlant nad Ostravici! Same for me LKMT and LKFR flying a lot of GA & A320N in VR G3. Now departing and arriving to LKMT makes a finally a complete sense of realism thanks to devs and the whole team who made a fantastic job! I have some FPS drop in VR (33 avg from stable 45) on my 4080S but I guess the overall scenery complexity add up a bit of punch to the requirements since VR is already a bit heavy on performance and requires a solid rig anyway. Great scenery!
