The Camair 480 Twin Navion is extremely good value for money. I have only hand flown it so far and am very impressed, regardless of its ugly duckling appearance!! Everything works and the sound is pretty authentic I would have thought. Whether I purchase the Ryan Navion B I am not sure at this time, my having so many aircraft in the big hangar already.

Hi, flying it on longer Neofly Missions I noticed that the Fuel Feed Aux to Main cannot be switched to, only to the Tips. And if I put the Transfer back into the Middle Position no Fuel flows from the Aux to the Main Tanks anymore. Is it intended that there is a large Gap between Flaps and Fuselage? Generally the Wings seem to have very large Gaps between the Aileron/Flaps and the Wing. On the real thing these Gaps are much smaller/nonexistent. The Curvature of the Canopy is also quite a lot more rounded towards the rear, more hatchback instead of Fastback.

Fuel can be changed left to right and vice versa and only from the tips to the mains, otherwise it is a steady flow from tips to mains by default. I'm not quite sure what you mean by gap? It might look like a gap because of the shape of the flaps being rounded, but it is minimal and the same as the gap between the ailerons. In comparison there were only about 35 Camair 480's ever built. There are other Twin Navions built around the same time and all of them were converted from the original Navion with multiple custom configurations in regards to the canopy. This version is a hybrid of some of the Camair 480's with multiple modifications from the original Ryan Navion made for speed and numerous customization due to various aspects of each owner. I took and merged them to this model. Some examples would be the nose cargo, the tip tanks, the canopy & it's variants of glass, engine nacelle's etc.. I've been looking at this airplane/addon for a while and was undecided to buy it or not. Seeing the dev's commitment to his project I decided to give it a try. And I don't regret it! It is interesting to fly and the systems depth is very good. Not to mention an unusual airplane produced in small number. Kudos to the dev.

Version 2.2.0 is out? I bought direct and only have access to 2.0.0. Unusual for third party stores to get updates first.

Not sure what you mean by direct? If you mean Sim Market or Gumroad it is also available on those third party websites as well. Hopefully soon it will be available in the Official Marketplace and then on Xbox as well. It is going through that process now. I bought it on Gumroad, which I understood at the time to be the closest option to first party. (I try to go first party over third party.) I received the update a day after it was listed here, which is why I commented. I wish I had bought it here purely for the simplicity. Getting updates is unnecessarily complicated on Gumroad. I love the aircraft though.

I agree completely. But getting it here was even a struggle believe it or not. Flightsim.to was my 1st choice, but they wouldn't approve it at 1st. No idea why? An excellent plane to fly with, fun and easy with sufficient power to rock'n roll! Great attention has been given to every detail, inside as outside, and the cockpit has this unmistakable perfume of the late 50's I hardly knew (born in 1952). You feel the need for a flight, you don't want to bother with extensive startup procedures, just pull the trigger and enjoy the landscape, well the Navion is the right plane. Thumbs up for the developer for bringing this unheard plane - in Europa I mean. And to end with just one question : Why this 5°C discrepancy between the left/right oil temps? It seems to be a constant whatever the MP/RPM. Not a big thing, and it doesn't alter the high quality of the product.

Excellent observation! It is because the wear on one engine is a bit more than the other. There are many customized "quirks" that no one will even notice, unless you look hard enough. That includes the 3 Easter Eggs Included. I'm glad everyone is enjoying this little ugly duckling of a nostalgic aircraft. Happy Holidays!

This aircraft is not only fun to fly but is very well built with great attention to detail. The developer was quick to address a simple and maybe silly issue but he went above and beyond to make sure it was fixed. I can't recommend enough how good this plane is.
