One of the most important additions for me as a creator has arrived in Microsoft Flight Simulator. The White Star Line ship package, cruise ships that crossed the seas a hundred years ago in every possible luxury. In this package I bring the most famous passenger ship in the world, the RMS Titanic, and its brothers, RMS Olympic and RMS Brittanic and the RMS Carpathia, which played a fundamental role in the rescue of the survivors of the sinking of the Titanic. In this package you will also meet the Tug Boat Hercules, who had an incredible life of action on the west coast of the USA, at the same time as the British titanic giants. The addition of the Tug Boat Hercules fills a gap in need of a Tug Boat from this era. It will be placed alongside ocean liners in a future update fulfilling their role as tractor boats.
CHANGELOG v1.3 - 10/09/2022:
- Fixed incorrect navigation speed and fuel consumption on ships that caused the engine to shut down after a few minutes in the water.
- Added traffic from the RMS Titanic departing Southampton 12:05 (UTC) and arriving at NY 9:30 (UTC).
CHANGELOG v1.2 - 05/03/2022:
- Added functions panel in co-pilot cockpit of RMS Olympic and RMS Titanic
- Added Mooring Ropes and Tug Boats animation on RMS Olympic and RMS Titanic
CHANGELOG v1.1 - 27/04/2022:
- Added lifeboat launch crane animations on RMS Brittanic
- Fixed RMS Brittanic floor deck A texture
RESOURCES:
- Detailed interior
- Start anywhere in the world over water
- Night lights
- Water trails instantly when on the go
- Sounds
- Smoke particles
- Friendly fps
INSTALLATION SIZE:
- Total download file - 560mb
HOW TO INSTALL:
Locate the Microsoft Flight Simulator installation folder
You need to find and open the folder called Community
Copy the three folders "Marine RM White Star Line", "Marine RM White Star Line Brittanic", "Marine RM White Star Line Carpathia" and "Marine RM White Star Line Tug Boat" you just extracted into the Community folder
Start the game and the RMS Titanic will be on livery menu change of the RMS Olympic ship, RMS Brittanic, RMS Carpathia and Tug Boat Hercules will be in your hangar ready to sail!
HOW TO PLAY:
Start the game at the headland of some seaplane runway, put the engine on 100% and wait a few seconds for the ship to start moving. The water trails and smoke will start with the slowest speed you are on the Destroyer and Battleship. These ships do not have a reverse engine for the time being, but this will be implemented in an upcoming update. Click L to activate an overnight navigation beacon. Quickly activate and deactivate the landing gear to honk. It is possible to start anywhere in the world on water, read the last paragraph of the following section to understand how.
- Activate or deactivate the flaps lever to activate the lifeboat launch animation on the RMS Brittanic
IMPORTANT TO KNOW:
This add-on will continue to be developed for improvements such as: Interior improvements, functional gauges, improved navigation physics and corrected lighting. Soon all models will receive this and more updates. The amount of water trails is limited by Asobo for now, when this limitation is removed from the SDK boats will have more sprays on the front and sides.
The speed of all boats is limited to less than 40kts for water stability reasons.
When starting the departure, the ship may appear stuck in the water or sinking. This is because the SDK does not recognize the 3D model of the boat as an entire object, regardless of the contact points. For now, a solution to this is to press the "Y" KEY to enter and press it again to exit Yoke Mode to correctly position the ship in the water. This will definitely be improved soon.
Don't start cold, a boat's starter function is unrealistic without a panel. Water waves can start out "hard", with a strange texture. This changes gradually during the game, when turning in any direction.
The following improvements will be added in the next update:
- Titanic, Olympic and Brittanic floor texture correction
- Correction of Carpathia height in relation to water
- Addition of White Star Line pier for boarding
KNOW ISSUES:
- Conflicts with third-party smoke effects can sometimes cause ship smoke effects to malfunction. If this occurs, simply restart navigation in a more distant location or without ship traffic. This is under review and will also be fixed as soon as possible.
Editor's Note: The RMS Carpathia was operated by the Cunard Line, but for the purpose of better identification on the MSFS and the White Star Line and Cunard Line having merged in 1934, I decided to place the RMS Carpathia under the operator name White Star Line.

These are player-controllable ships, you can walk around the deck using the VR view or navigate through pre-set cameras inside at various points on the ships, such as the main staircase, pool or bedrooms. There are 5 player-controllable ships in total: RMS Olympic, RMS Titanic, RMS Brittanic, RMS Carpathia and Tug Boat Hercules.
The winds do not interfere as much in navigation on larger ships, only on the Tug Boat, and this is due to two factors: the slower speed in the water, compatible with a ship, 20 knots (it is possible to reach 40 knots for those who prefer to sail faster over long stretches) and by the physics of contact with water. By increasing the weight or pressure of the ship on the water, the physics of wave motion ceases to work, it is a limitation that the contact points are not independent yet. But I'm keeping up with SDK updates and this will be updated when the general physics of the game goes through this update. In any case, the browsing experience will be constantly improved in line with the general physics improvements of the game.
In a brief update I will add an expansion pack including Tug Boats around the ships and the White Star Line pier from Southampton, in addition to cabin improvements and others mentioned in the documentation.

Are these files encrypted?

I think we need better water Physics, so when you crash in the ocean that the plane sinks, this would also make better the floating of boats, great addon. I probarly gonna buy it later

What is the point of all these boats and ships in a flight simulator? For the visual? yes! and it's well done! but so many details...why overload the simu?, but the piloting of ships in a flight simulator... Ask Asobo to make you a ship and river navigation simulator? who knows, maybe they will be interested... for the xbox...

i was just thinking the same. id buy a boat simulator if it were good. but never boats for a flight simulator. dont want them for free.

What is the point of all these boats and ships in a flight simulator? What can you actually do other than chugging around on open water?
Marine RM 9 month(s) ago
In the near future, with the addition of hard deck on player objects, co-op play could include landing on aircraft carrier controlled by one of the players, with other players controlling frigates while others land helicopters on frigates and other things in conjunction with smaller boats. Things like that, playing as a team. Life is very hard and everyone here is looking for a little fun.

There's a ton of different styles of boat. Fishing vessel, military, speed boats and sailing boats to add another dimension to the simulator. Sure it's a flight sim, but it's also a global experience in as real to real as you're going to get. Everyone plays differently, but "what's the point?" you say.
I come home after a long days work, I fly to Naples Florida in a GA aircraft. Once I land, the sun is setting so I decide to relax and take a boat up the coast and take in the views. It allows me to experience a ground level (sea level) vista I certainly would never see in real life, stuck in old smokey.
For me to unwind from a hard days work with a boat ride up the Florida coast, taking in not only the lights of the coastal towns and cities, not only the beautiful sunset, but the stars also. I might sail the boat four or five miles, sometimes ten, make a coffee, have a bite to eat.
I could not now, do without my boats.

What is the point of all these planes, you are just flying! 😊 Actually, it's quite fun to motor around in the Caribbean after flying there--either in a luxury liner or speedboat. It's about chilling at sunset--it's very nice.

I have to agree, its a pointless add on to a flight simulator that I wont see from 40,000 feet anyway!

Pointless to some where others are interested. A couple of opinions in the negative aren't the only opinions here. Just seems to be a waste of time for those who aren't interested but if that is what they want to do when they could be commenting or looking at stuff they are interested in so be it.
cbcdesign 9 month(s) ago
Actually large ships can be seen at 8000 feet.
jvortiz56
I'm really not interested in operating the ships. Will you include them as AI with course plans? Titanic should have as real a plan as possible. An iceberg scenery could be included as well. Just a cigar dream - I don't do pipes.
Marine RM 9 month(s) ago
It is planned to include in a future update (version 1.3) the AI routes of the ships RMS Titanic, RMS Olympic and RMS Carpathia on the routes between America and Europe and the RMS Brittanic between the UK and the Mediterranean.

I'll see you then..... Keep up the good work.

I have one of the payware speedboats, and the only seem to be steerable in low winds/waves--as with higher winds they will only go into the headwind. Can you control these ships in high seas in any direction? Thanks, looks really interesting.

Is this something lie the Global Shipping addon ?
mgh65 9 month(s) ago
I think they are drivable ships. Which seem more like an exercise in Blender modelling to me. Good, but not for a simulator that doesnt have first person walking around. I mean, once you've used the drone to look at the detail in the rooms, what are you going to do then ? I dont think you can walk around the ship or anything like that

do you even flight sim?
