    Douglas DC-3 - Western Airlines - Image 1

    Description

Western Airlines flew some amazing liveries on the DC-3, here depicted in the classic "Chieftain livery" as well as the classic white and polished Western liveries in the 50s, when the DC-3 was flying in all the airline's route including the famous "W" route; San Francisco south to San Diego, north from San Diego to Lethbridge, Alberta in Canada, south to Denver, and northeast to Huron.

    Thank you

Having trouble with the installed Western Airlines DC 3 liveries. .. only the centre section of the aircraft receives the paint, the rest is pink checker board. Pretty sure I downloaded the correct version for MSFS 2020 and installed it to the Community folder ....and installed the latest version of FSUIPC 7. Using the MSFS stock dc3. There seem to be several warnings in the Debug List.
Where do I start to look for trouble?
    Thanks

Hi mate, just did another test, it is working fine here. Could it be the wrong version (main file is for MSFS2024 and secondaru file for MSFS2020)?

Try that, if that does not work, please send me the debug list.

The debug list is long but a lot of it pertains to the DC3...autopilot and other things. I'll attach the part of the list that concerns the livery.

Absolutely gorgeous, and probably my new favorite skin for the DC-3! Thanks so much for sharing and for putting such effort into your work. It shows!

Wow. Another stunner. Incredibly precise and supremely tasteful detail. You are making it difficult to choose favourites among the stable.

Thank you very much Fuzz1! Yes, I had a lot of fun doing this livery, recreating all the stencils was quite a challenge too, I am really happy with the result.

Douglas DC-3 - American Airlines Flagship

The SN 1920 was ordered in 1937 and is a "pure DC3" survivor since it was on civil service throughout WW2. It was in service with American Airlines until 1947, distictively being a plane that Eleanor Roosevelt flew in many occasions (she would pick the seat in front of the door, to be the last to board and the first to leave). It also depicted many pictures and artwork of the time since its relatives were serving in the war. In 2004 it was located in Virginia serving as a spray plane. The work to bring her to the original glory took 18 months, and now she is the oldest original DC3 still flying, and is kept in mint condition by the Flagship Detroit Foundation.
