[DISCONTINUED] FBW A32NX Wing Textures

I hated the bland default wing on the Asobo/FBW A320neo so I took it into my own hands to give the wings a realistic makeover. This enhancement works with all liveries. It brings detailed dirt and wear to the wings and slats. You can see the wear and scratches most in early morning and evening just like you would be able to in real life. The sharklets are my favorite park of this addon, I added true to life bolts, hoist points and spent a long time trying to get the roughness to look a bit metallic like they are IRL. Enjoy!

This mod looks best with my FBW Engine Revamp which completely overhauls the engines for the FBW A32NX.

Installation:

Copy the files from the zip to any (or all if you like it that much) of your liveries TEXTURE. directory ("livery"/SimObjects/Airplanes/"livery"/TEXTURE."livery").

Hey I cannot get the engine attachment part textures to show up. I have the FBW updated to the latest version. I've tried to do the file copy process for 3 other liveries and only the wing textures show. I did exactly what the instructions above told me to do.

I sorta can but it would be difficult to make it look decent because m only making changes to the UV map for this mod. If I made my own liveries from scratch with completely custom textures (which Im thinking about doing), I could make it look good.

Nice work! It worked great for me, though I had some issues with certain liveries. For example, on the Spirit you used in the first picture, I made sure to replace the texture files but it stays as the default textures in game. Any idea on how I can fix it? I already made sure that the texture files were put in the right folder.

First off, thanks for the support. Sometimes livery creators dont use custom files and just use the default ones, so when you place my files in certain liveries, they are not actually read by the sim. So what i would do is place my wings in "Community\flybywire-aircraft-a320-neo\SimObjects\AirPlanes\FlyByWire_A320_NEO\TEXTURE" so that my wings will show up in the liveries that dont use custom files. Be sure to do this after every FBW update. Hope that helps, please do tell me if you need more help.

I downloaded and there's just a DDS File and a JSON file in the folder included in the RAR download. Am I missing something? I'm not sure where to find the texture file I need. Thanks in advance, your work looks great!

Copy the files from the zip to any of your liverie’s TEXTURE. directory ("livery"/SimObjects/Airplanes/"livery"/TEXTURE."livery"). This is not a drag n drop to community, you have to overwrite files from liveries that you already have installed.

You don’t just put it in the community folder. You have to actually replace the textures that the liveries are using which is in the “TEXTURE.” Folder located in any livery.

Seperately unfortunately, read "Installation" in the description of the mod. If it still doesnt make sense shoot me a private message and i can help you out. It's not too hard once you undertand where the livery textures are.

Fantastic stuff! Would you be able to make 'dirty' gear textures? I don't like how pristine and clinical the default gear textures look considering these jets are workhorses!
