The John Day River Lookout is a fictitious bush landing that is used in real life as a landing spot for adventurous bush flyers! Scenery made by PhotosByKev for the BurstixTV community and everyone in the MSFS Community! The actual Bush Strip exists on the John Day River in Oregon, near the mouth of the Columbia River!
We found the idea from a video by the "Mauleguy", an actual Bush Pilot and YouTuber where he lands this strip he hadn't landed in 20 years. We set out with little info to find this strip from the IRL pictures to see how close to real life it looked. When we got there it did not look great, so I decided to get this done! This is a very challenging landing strip because of its short 535ft length and sheer disaster if you do not land and stop on the designated strip.
The most challenging way to land this is coming from North to South. Have fun with this and challenge yourself with every new plane you get, just to see if you can land it here!
