This was a requested paint for the F-16. It was for the first prototype F-16, actually called the YF-16. After I was done with painting the YF-16, I went ahead and painted the second prototype that had NATO flags of Countries that was going to purchase the F-16 when released. The NATO flagged bird, now showing the F-16 on the tail was at the Paris airshow for all to see. USMC1999 suggested since I did the first one, I might as well do the second one. So I did.
There are a few texture errors I tried my best to fix. The texture errors are out of my hands and control. They are minimal, but noticeable if you look closely.
Enjoy the paints, and happy flying!!

Had to check the original exhuast before I downloaded the new one. The new ones are a home run. Glad you updated them, they look awesome!

I was one of the people who requested this, so thanks! And yeah, I was another person who was intro'd to the scheme through models in the 70s, Monogram 1/72, if I remember right! At the time I was annoyed there were no "combat scheme" decals (the camo hadn't been decided yet), but now I miss the red-whie-and-blue!

I appreciate the comments and likes, thank you!! However, I'd like to have your input. Would you like to see the red/blues deeper/richer?? I'm very open for comments/recommendations on this one!!

My two cents... I think the colors are right, but the reflection goes to the metallic side a bit too much and make them change colors a lot from time to time. Probably you may fine tune the PBR files and make the colors back from the positive plated aluminum to the painted surface, then they will be fine.

Nice one. Yes, I had this livery as a 1/72 scale model decades ago, and I was also fortunate to see it in real life at an airshow at RAF Alconbury. Thanks for doing this.

This is an awesome livery. The red/blue colors are just a bit too neon to my liking but overall fantastic job.

Appreciate the comment. The red/blue hues was a struggle to find what looked good.

I also built this model in the '70's, but I think a Revell or Monogram one. Took your paint up to look at it. Both of look great in the air! Well done again, Marine1!
