    About the licensing

    The app is completely free and same features as before, no license is needed for previous features. All maps it currently contains are free. Free features are always kept updated.
    Some advanced features (e.g. custom map provider and future features) need a pro license.

    make a dedicated 2024 one and keep the 2020 one so i dont have to use your shortcut to launch the app, instead i can just use the EXE. Trying to launch it via skyhub and it only starts 2020.

    hjaviation i don t think you understand what he saying , i have the same problem , after 1 week or so seems like the mod does not load the images anymore far away so you forced to delete the rolling cache again and again to be smooth . happened before .

    Hey there, I really liked this mod up until Sim Update 5 in MSFS 2024. For some reason, since then, each of the tiles thats being loaded into the sim is extremely pronounced and vivid compared to the other tiles of default Bing map imagery. Before the update, things were very smooth and seamless in terms of having the entire ground being fully Apple-maps like I prefer.Is something specifically causing this? Would like to speak to someone about this ideally...

    strange , since SU 5.1 the image loaded from this is more crisp and clear than ever , anyway , if you don t delete the rollinch cache once a week , you won t be able to load images . this is a bug im stroggle about 1 year now .

    same thing happened to me ! i used to like older versions of it but at the moment it can almost destroy your sim ... there are a few work arounds but very very complicated - absolutely not worth the risk and nerves and time

    I am writing to express my serious frustration regarding the impact your Google Map Enhancement mod has had on my simulator and my system's security. While the visual concept is interesting, the underlying execution is deeply problematic.

    I discovered that your mod essentially hijacks the connection for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 by forcing unauthorized changes to my Windows network settings. By creating proxies and redirecting traffic, the mod interferes with how the sim communicates with official servers. This is not just a minor tweak; it is a fundamental disruption of the simulator's network architecture.

    I was only alerted to the severity of this because my game began hanging indefinitely at 97%. When I reached out to the official MSFS Support team, they immediately flagged your mod as the culprit. The fact that official support now recognizes your mod as a primary cause for "Abnormal Loading" errors and server handshake failures is a major red flag.

    Did you consider the implications of forcing a simulator—which relies heavily on secure, real-time data streaming—to run through a hijacked network path? These intrusive methods make the mod feel like a security risk rather than a simple enhancement. I expect a mod to improve my experience, not to take control of my network and render my software unusable.

    Presumably, you did something wrong yourself. This is completely wrong, and I find your complaint harmful to the creator of this add-on.

    It is of course logical that you share your problem with the creator, but criticizing it in this way is not polite.......

    I have been working with it since the very first day ME came out and have never had any problems with it. It simply works well. And if you remove ME from the community, everything is back to normal.

    The point that Microsoft (actually Asobo) is being negative about it is, of course, to be expected. MSFS works with Bing Maps by default, and that belongs to MS. The fact that someone starts using Google Maps or Apple Maps bothers them, and that is why they will never recommend it.

    Incidentally, the landscape colors have been greatly improved in 2024 compared to 2020, so there should no longer be any reason to choose a different map.

    I totally agree with this serious concerns. In addition to this, as something went wrong with my last session flying with MSFS 2024 and this extra program, I have spent approx. 10 hours to find the problem. The problem was, that some of the map map server was not reachable, and this blocked my MSFS 2024 (stucked at 90% loading world data).
    With this kind of Manipulation and problem, I have removed it and won't come back.

    hola compañero me encontre tu publicacion que habla del problema de mejora de mapas , yo pase por lo mismo, estuve mas de 4 meses investigando posibles soluciones y nada, lo quee si era cierto es qque el programa modifica los archivos host y en mi caso msfs2024 se quedaba atascado en el 97% y no salia de ahi , el sim que quedaba esperando un archivo que no encontraba, asi que tuve la iluminacion de volver a instalar el programa MSFS2024 Map Enhancement lo ejecute y ccomenzo a cargar y se inicio sin problemas el sim . vuelve a instalar el programa y va a funcionar.

    I don't notice any issues with VRAM. Functions almost exactly the same as in game scenery.

    Ill tell you this MSFs 24 team even says don't use cuz its changes files and slows down the sims and changes your network
