Yosemite Valley is a world-renowned glacial valley located in Yosemite National Park, California. It's famous for its towering granite cliffs, such as El Capitan and Half Dome, and iconic waterfalls like Bridalveil Fall and Yosemite Falls. The valley is a popular destination for hiking, rock climbing, and sightseeing, offering stunning views and a variety of recreational activities
The enhancements aim to provide a more authentic and immersive sightseeing experience for pilots flying through Yosemite National Park.

- 1. Improved Terrain and Textures( base texture has those nasty dark shadows from satellite images. I hope my improvement is good enough). Road texture and elevation improvements. Terraforming is still buggy though, specially on areas with TIN data.
- 2. Enhanced Landmarks with custom 3D models using PBR textures.

You can start your flight to any spawning point available. I suggest the parking at the Cascade Glade at the entrance of the valley or from the nearest airport at the Mariposa-Yosemite(KMPI-There is an available free airport scenery of it If you are on PC by one of my favorite dev,"vbazillio". Important Notes
- 1. Check POI markers for specific areas that has been significantly improved.
- 2. Parking/spawning points sometimes only appear after you zoom in to the fictional airport YSMT.
- 3. You can land mostly anywhere. I have put collisions on most of the models.
- 4. LOD is still a big problem for SU2. The waterfalls sometimes doesn't appear at first unless its already loaded by the sim. The workaround is to zoom in at the world map to the POIs (specially the waterfall areas and let them appear first before starting the flight)

1. Compatibility update with Sim Update 03 2. Sim Update 03 added a 3D model ported from MSFS 2020. This update removes the El Capitan 3D model(I think the default El Capitan is much better) and Enhances Half Dome integration to the default TIN environment. 3. Fix mist transparency(transparency parameter was changed during the update to SU3)

Fantastic update to this beautiful part of the world. The waterfalls, people, and animals really bring life to the place. The only thing I would recommend is perhaps dialling back the 'blue' of the waterfalls. White would be far more realistic and true to real life. Other than that this is fantastic work and Is very good value for money. Edit 8-2-2026 Just wanted to add that the latest version as of this date has the 'blue' removed from the waterfalls and the result is perfect now ! Highly recommend this amazing class leading addon.

Very pretty, However, when you fly near the mighty waterfalls they are disappointingly silent. No noise at all. Which is disappointing. I also would have liked to see some of the tree placements tidied up. Eg removed from the river, to allow nice helicopter flying along the river. NPC characters included as static are quite immersion breaking. I have seen some simple animations that makes them appear alive elsewhere. A little more fauna, and an ultralight flying around the valley would also have elevated this piece of scenery, and I would have given it a 5 star rating. It is good, but feels a little empty. To get your money's worth (they are not cheap anymore) you need to want to keep coming back. So having something to fly around with such as an animated ultralight, would have really assisted with that. Don't get me wrong. I do like it. Just trying to make suggestions. 4 stars.

This was my first CLi4D purchase and I'm blown away by the quality of this addon as well as it's performance. Yosemite was good before but now it's just incredible. Don't know how it could be made any better. What's also nice is a Dev that updates their products regularly. Will be purchasing more from CLi4D very soon!

Very very nice area to explore by helicopter or microlight/GA. Some glitches in surface textures borders of areas, but nothing really bad.
Thank you! The texture borders doesn't look well at the moment specially when you are at a distance. The fade out looks agressive but its fine when you are close. Hopefully this will improve in the future because MSFS2020 don't have this problem

Great as usual from Cli4d. Adds a lot of detail to the area with plenty to explore. I had a couple of scenery glitches around the El Capitan area, but I haven't yet tested whether they are due to the addon or Asobo.
Thank you sir! The ground texture although it is very high res, the dark shadow spots are still awefull. And retexturing an area with TIN data in it is still a bit buggy for me. The edges of the textures seems to be very visible and sharp at a distance but fine at close. Hopefully that will be improve in the SDK. I used to climb in Yosemite and have spent months there and this is very good. I hope with updates the rock face details become more consistent. Some are better than others like Half Dome to me is better than El Cap, but overall it looks good to me. Oh, an I inspected the Lodge in detail and it is good... used to hang out there across from Camp 4...
They are using TIN data in the area but the auto gen cliff texture on sharp edges are still buggy. They just recently added the 3D model they use in 2020 but the texture is not that great. Although the half dome can model can be use to cover up the dark Half Dome texture. The El Capitan model needs to be removed I think. It was not properly place and the scale is way off. I will update as soon as possible. Thanks again and have a nice day!
