About this addon

Coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator is a new generation of 3 controllable boats and one of them being based on a totally real boat, with user-friendly controls, detailed interior, refined textures, water trails, night lights and custom sounds. They are: the luxury yacht Sea Ray L650 Fly, Gemini, an incredible catamaran and Razoo, a beautiful smallboat with improved average speed.

HOW TO INSTALL:

Locate the Microsoft Flight Simulator installation folder
You need to find and open the folder called "Community"
Copy the three folders "Marine RM Sea Ray 650 Fly", "Marine RM Gemini" and "Marine RM Razoo" you just extracted into the Community folder
Start the game and the Sea Ray 650 Fly, Gemini and Razoo boats will be in your hangar ready to sail!

HOW TO PLAY:

Start the game anywhere in the world on water or seaplane runway, put the engine on 100% and wait a few seconds for the boat to start moving. The water trails start with the slowest speed you are. Click Ctrl + L to activate an overnight navigation beacon. Quickly activate and deactivate the landing gear to honk.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW:

The amount of water trails is limited by Asobo for now, when this limitation is removed from the SDK boats will have more sprays on the front and sides.
The speed of all boats is limited to less than 40kts for water stability reasons.

- Added azimuth navigation mode This sailing mode allows you to move the boat sideways using the rudder, turn on its own axis using the left and right aileron control, and move the boat forward and backward using the up and down aileron control. This mode does not replace the standard navigation model, it just adds a new layer of control to facilitate operation in ports and regions with limited maneuverability.

ICON_MAP_PLANE I don't know if anyone else noticed, but When you install this boat, it changes the little default icon from a plane, to a boat in your GPS. Problem is, it vanishes, and furthermore, it effects the GPS in ALL other aircraft. Meaning, GPS is without any icon whatsoever. I figure it is a bug, but in order to use this boat, you have to sacrifice the icon on your GPS. Shame really, because this is one of the best boats I have seen so far otherwise!

Thanks for your comment! For some reason, when using GPS and the Aera navigation system, there is a return code that takes the game default to the default installed in Sea Ray, which is a boat icon, for all aircraft in the game. It's a bug! I'm releasing an update to make GPS with plane icon native to the game until a permanent solution allows using GPS with boat icon. Once again, thanks for your patience!

today, i bought this Vessel Pack, especially because of the L650. The outside-model is very good! but, to my mind, the modeling inside is a bit weak! Especially some Textures simply not fit. I would love more "teak"-wood textures, instead of the cheap plywood textures on deck and inside. Moreover everything inside looks very "shiny" also the furniture. Looks a bit surreal. I hope the interior will get an update soon.

The models themselves are great (only used the 650 so far), but this doesn't work well in the sim at the moment. Not the product's fault, I suspect, more the state of the sim. The wakes are really poor, and the surface of the sea seems to be solid in places. I ran aground at various points apparently in plenty of water (off the Cal coast). And although the Golden Gate bridge looks ok (and I've flown under it plenty of times), you can't take a boat under it, apparently. Hopefully they'll fix the wakes at some point, be nice if the bridges were navigable too.

Thanks for commenting @andy1252! I have an update in the works fixing boat details as well as interior textures for something more realistic and immersive. Water navigation physics is also being updated, with new water trails. Unfortunately, navigating is still a challenge in canals, under bridges and ravines, as these are regions that haven't received as much attention from the Game's producer yet. But we hope for improvements in this regard. Stay tuned!
