Rand Airport, located in Germiston, South Africa, has a rich aviation history dating back to its opening in 1931. Originally built as Johannesburg's main international airport, it was one of the most advanced airports in the Southern Hemisphere at the time. It served as a hub for Emperial Airways and later South African Airways. During World War II, it was used for military training and operations. After the opening of Jan Smuts Airport (now OR Tambo International) in 1952, Rand Airport transitioned to general aviation. Today it remains active as a key center for flight training, aircraft maintenance, and airshows, preserving its historical legacy. 

The South African Airways Museum also based at Rand Airport, was officially founded in 1986. A collection of static aircraft amongst other memorabilia are displayed. This includes 2 Boeing 747's donated to them in 2004 and 2006.

On a personal note, I have fond memories of this airport having spent my early school years in the area, swam in the lake and later being attached to the Military Regiment just down the road. With this in mind I have attempted to make this airport as immersive as possible so one doesn't feel like they are the only person on the planet when flying in and out.

• Unzip folder to a place of your choice.
• In the unzipped folder are 2 folders, "jatsim-fagm-2020-v1.1.0" and "jatsim-fagm-2024-v1.1.0".
• Copy each folder into their respective community folders.
