Oulu Airport (IATA: OUL, ICAO: EFOU; Finnish: Oulun lentoasema, Swedish: Uleåborgs flygplats) is located in Oulu, Finland, 5.7 NM (10.6 km; 6.6 mi) south-west of the city centre. Oulu Airport is not only the second busiest in Finland, but also serves as a significant gateway to Northern Scandinavia.

Situated approximately 11 kilometers west of the Oulu city center, this airport plays an instrumental role in connecting the Northern part of the country with the rest of Finland.

The airport, operated by Finavia, handled over a million passengers in 2019 and serves as a hub for diverse types of air traffic. While it primarily serves commercial airlines, it also supports a variety of other aircraft including general aviation, parachute jump flights, private jets and medical helicopter service.

The airport terminal itself along every other building is great. the only problem I have is the bumpy runway and uneven ground between the taxiways and runways. I visit this airport in real life almost weekly and I can tell you there is a problem with the heightmap.

Do you have MSFS2020 or 24? If you use 20 please use morko-dem-finland-heighmaps. And if you use Kittilä freeware from Hergi please remove EFKT.bgl from that heighmap scenery folder. Link: https://fsaddons.fi/files/FinlandAirportHeightmaps.php I don't have 2024 so no experience how that addons work with it.

This scenery is okay. The terminal has good detail and everything looks about right, but there is also a small bug with the jetway hoods when they fold over the aircraft. A little gap appears between the front and center section of the hood. My biggest problem with this scenery lies with the runway, there are simply way too many bumps. It looks/feels like a thin carpet of concrete laid over a bunch of small hills and moving over it in an airplane feels unnatural. I see elsewhere that this product has an "elevation model" but I have a hard time believing this is right. For now a $17 USD pricetag seems a little steep. That being said, I am happy to revisit my rating of the airport if the runway is smoothed out a little bit. I understand this is a new release and things may change.
