KLIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, or Kuala Lumpur International Airport, are collectively Malaysia's largest and busiest airport, as well as one of the largest airports in the world. The airport spans 100 square kilometres, and was designed by Kisho Kurokawa and was inaugurated on the 27th June 1998.

This scenery plug-in contains KLIA’s main terminal building, satellite terminal building and the KLIA2 terminal with all aprons having realistic taxiing and gate markings.

Freight and various maintenance buildings and offices, totalling more than 40 hand built assets are also included, along with custom runway textures

Hi there, All of the jetways are operational in the paid versions, with all of the paid versions available being the same major/minor version number. There may be a variation in the MS Marketplace version final digit, however this only indicates that the compiled version is encrypted and contains all the necessary additional data needed by Marketplace, so that it doesn't get mixed up. It's a very nice product. My only complaint is the stutter I get whenever I'm on approach to WMKK - at about 1000 ft on the ILS. Would be nice to see a custom taxiway lighting solution so we can have the alternating orange and green lights for the ILS critical areas and more uniform taxiway lighting in general but as I understand it it's quite tedious to do so in the MSFS SDK as it requires hand-placing each individual light.

One request - would you consider doing WSSS Singapore Changi? It's currently covered by another developer but unfortunately it's of much lower quality than your products with many basic errors littered across the airfield, and the developer has no plans to improve the quality of their rendition and fix some of the major flaws in the product. Would be great if you could provide us with a quality WSSS for MSFS!

Hi, I have just downloaded KLIA. I was getting really disillusioned with payware airports in msfs. However, this rendition of KLIA is amazing. I have flown into there many times and it has things I have never seen before. For example, the helicopter pads.

Now I have discovered one problem. There is a crease in the ground near the departure point at 32L (centre runway) on the taxiway. it's bad enough that I think it would flip a plane taxiing at a decent speed. I haven't checked yet whether this 'crease' travels across the airport or is just limited to that point. It's like a 1ft berm the plane has to get over.
Now my install being brand new it could be a faulty download on my end. Can you please investigate.

A minor issue is KLIA2 terminal has parking marking for medium sized aircraft on the large gates. No markings for heavy aircraft like A330 A350 B777 etc. I'm just pointing this out, maybe that's how there are but that is the terminal section that caters for heavies.

That being said I rate this 9.95/10. You've done an exceptional job on what is a truly massive airport.
You should be proud!

PS. FYI I downloaded it from the marketplace last night and I have version 3.1.1

Hi mercurybullet1, Thanks for your message! For the small ridge at 32L, we only became aware of that shortly after releasing 3.1.1. We have since changed the method used to terraform and flatten that section, where the fault starts between taxiways C10-C11 heads towards 32L threshold and beyond. We've resolved and tested the fix in our next pre-release version by using a different terraforming method, and we are checking that that hasn't simply moved it to another location within the airport. Once we have added some additional enhancements for the next scheduled update, we will release, and hopefully attain the missing 0.05. Hi Asaja. We have just been provided with final test access for 3.3.0 for Marketplace. It should get approved today and go live with Microsoft's Marketplace update at the end of this week. There is always a lag between release availableness due to the Marketplace ingestion and testing process.

Thanks for the message. The secret-studio-asia-jetway folder needs to remain in place for the time being. It's a shared asset that was used by both KLIA and KKIA products. We are in the process of updating KKIA which is still using it, once that update is released in the next week or so, the folder will no longer be required.

Hi Aerodynamic, thanks for the comment. WMKK is the next item in the pipeline for an improvement sweep. We're currently busy preparing WBGR Miri airport for release, once we release a new title we always return to our existing titles (currently WMKK and WBKL) and implement suggested improvements and enhancements before moving on to our next new product. Our scheduled update target is every 6 months at the moment given the workload and manpower. Thanks for your support!

Hello Ahmad, thanks for the message. We have indeed developed a solution to adjust the window tint based on daytime and night conditions, it's been implemented at KKIA already. For KLIA, due to the number of windows, x3 terminals, we want to apply more optimization to the 3D models, but plan to have the window tint implemented for the next revision together with a number of other enhancements. Hello,

Do you have plans to add more accurate tyre / dirt markings on the grounds and taxiways? The ground markings look a little cartoony, and compared to the satellite imagery the ground textures aren't very accurate. This is really the only thing holding me back from purchasing.

Yes, they are in the pipeline. We developed a multi-layer transparency method to patina the asphalt and concrete which looked fantastic in the artwork but didn't transpose reliably in the sim when WMKK and KLIA were developed. We've tried the same method in the current airport we're producing using the latest SDK and sim update and it now seems to be working and looking fantastic, and we will retrospectively apply it in upcoming revisions.

Thanks for the message. We applied to be a Marketplace partner well over a year ago, and our application is still 'pending' despite many unanswered emails to Microsoft. All we can do is to wait, as it's also not possible to re-apply. It's an awful situation for us.

I have a couple of questions.

Does this airport have airline coded jetways? For example I don't want to see any other ai aircraft other than airasia at klia2.

Second, is a visual guidance docking system available/planned? It is a must for a payware addon, as even some freeware airports have it.

Hi Aerodynamic, thanks for your comment. KLIA MTB and KLIA2 are coded for MAS and AirAsia respectively, with the STB not coded for all other airlines. Unfortunately the AI is not taking note of the codes and assigns things randomly. Hopefully this is something that will get fixed in a future sim update. For VGDS, we have developed a functional display but have yet to figure out how to feed it the position of the aircraft and it's offset from centre. We've left it to the marshallers for the time being to avoid providing any incorrect information.

I'm on MSFS doing flights pretty often from WMKK, and as from Malaysia, having this package makes it so much better. Great job!
