The Embraer EMB 312 Tucano is a low-wing tandem-seat single-turboprop basic trainer with counter-insurgency capability developed by the Brazilian Company Embraer. The Brazilian Air Force sponsored the EMB-312 project at the end of 1978.

An innovative new basic trainer with relatively simple features that eventually became the international standard for basic training aircraft. The prototype first flew in 1980, and initial production units were delivered in 1983. Production was initially supported by a local order for 118 aircraft with options for an additional 50 units in October 1980.

The Tucano made inroads into the military trainer arena and became one of Embraer's first international marketing successes. A total of 664 units were produced (504 by Embraer and 160 by Short Brothers).

Estive observando as imagens desse EMB 312 e gostaria humildemente de pontuar algumas pequenas melhorias no modelo 3D.
Teria como:
1 - Ajustar a modelagem do spinner;
2 - Acabamento na raiz da asa no bordo de fuga;
3 - Leme de direção está com a ponta superior no bordo de fuga arredondada. O correto seria um ângulo reto;
4 - O trem de pouso principal está meio aberto pra fora, quando em solo.
5 - Adicionar os parafusos na roda principal;
6 - Levar a perna do trem do nariz mais um pouco pra frente;
7 - Canopy tá muito escuro visto lateralmente.

Fazendo esses ajustes, a aeronave ficará perfeita externamente e a compra será garantida.

I'd probably buy this one right away. It's a "must have" for anyone that loves the EDA (a.k.a. Esquadrilha da Fumaça). But without an autopilot, it's a "no go" for ferry flights or transfer flights.
Any chance to have an update, with an autopilot installed?

thanks you for reply. The classical tucano that is this aircraft does not have any autopilot at all due it is a basic military fighter traininng that the cadets need learn how to fly manualy without any assistance. For now it will not have an autopilot, but it is a gently aircarft and once you trim it correctly it will fly as one "auto pilot" too.

Hello, Thanks for you comment. We are in contact with microsoft and its under process to allow the TUcano be at marketplace, but until now microsoft has not finished the configuration process needed to allow that rpsimulations upload files.

Once its done we will be able to upload and lauch at MSFS2020 marketplace directly this aicrarft and others that are on develpoment.

This is a very good rendition of the RAF Tucano; it’s pleasant to fly however I found that the aircraft has a tendency to roll to the right! Not sure if this can be adjusted with trimming?

Also, I wonder if you can recreate the half black/half white spinner and 4 blade propeller with black/white conspicuity markings?

The answer is that this is the original Embraer EMB-312 tucano and this aircraft is not provided with AirBrake only the EMB-314 (SUPER TUCANO) or the SHORT Tucano (Modified version of the EMB-312 produced under licence by Short Brother for the RAF) has it.

I love the design and it flies well. Overall quaility is very good in my opinion. Would be great, if the sound could get a little improvement within one of the next updates? My only concern is regarding the performance. The aircraft feels a kind of slow and is not able to climb as stated. I´m not aware of the real aircraft performances, but would expect a little bit more power from this turboprop trainer. If it matches the values of a real Tucano, please ignore my hint 😉

Thank you for the review. The rotate speed is 80Kt , the climb speed fot the Tucano is 130kt and cruise speed between 180 200 kt depending of altitude. this are the parameters from the real aircraft so anything more than that would be wrong and fantasy, we bring the real parameters much as the MSFS2020 allow to do.

if this was freeware i would say give it a shot. at any price above $0 this is not good. handling is poor. tons of inop systems. there are issues with gauges (your directional gyro will go crazy every once in a while, etc). the flight model is twitchy and the plane handles very poorly. and for a plane this light, acceleration is an absolute joke. you better have a long, long, long runway because you're going to need every inch of it. you're still going to have problems accelerating once you're airborne as well. just not fun to fly. i regret this purchase.

We regret your experience, but this is the performance that the real tucano has to be. It climbs at 130kt and max speed at crouse no more 200kt. THis is not the SUPER TUCANO that has much more power on engines.

What systems are inop? all INOP systems are related to not provided by MSFS2020 by default so why lost time to just animate ot do dummy gauge if it wont be correctly managed by sim until now? The RMI is working as real one, if you are pilot you will see this happening once while, its not fixed and the mesurement is done by magnetic radials so this is suppose to happens too.

IF you are so upset to buy it please ask a refound to Flightsim.to that will be fine.

It works fine , you need to flip the switch that is located on left of the gauge. Flip down and then up again.
