Another of my retro series. This depicts Maralinga Airfield, Maralinga Village and adjecent points of interest in the remote South Australian desert circa 1958. The British and Australian governments constructed this controvential base and surrounding sites to test a number of different nuclear weapons. The base was surrounded in secret at the time.
My depiction is based on photos of the time.
NOTE: My scenery wouldn't be possible without excellent scenery libraries by:
colinj library1v10-cbj and library2v10-cbj
trfsto Windy Things
IMPORTANT: You must have downloaded and installed these libraries for this scenery to work properly. These libraries are available here at Flightsim.to
Thanks and I hope you enjoy my scenery!
Nice uplift to an otherwise bland airport. Great detail work.

I've not had the time to fly around it yet but from the screenshots it looks amazing. Years back I tried to create similar scenery for FSX of that area but my modelling skills or my patience to learn weren't that great.
I was amazed to see Maralinga in the stock FS2020 and it was above and way beyond anything I could have even done.... and now it's even better.

Thanks for your kind words. I started with a lot of trial and error and a couple of very ordinary sceneries but have learned a lot! Only do this stuff as a satisfying hobby but figured I may as well share it with the flightsim.to community. Hope you can enjoy some of my other sceneries too😃
