This is a VFR route flight plan that begins in Rocky Mountain House Alberta, takes you on a wonderful tour of the Canadian Rockies and ends at Calgary Springbank.
You will fly west from Rocky following the North Saskatchewan River entering the spectacular Kootenay Plains/White Goat Wilderness area. You'll overfly the Bighorn Damn and Abraham Lake with views of Mt. Cline, Mt. Murchison, Mt. Elliot and others. Just past whirlpool point you'll turn south along the fantastic Icefields Parkway to catch views of Waterfowl Lakes, Mt. Cephren, Mistaya Lake, Peyto Lake, Bow Lake, Numteejah Lodge, Hector Lake, Lake Louise, and Moraine Lake off in the distance. Then you'll follow the Bow River passing Banff, Mt. Rundle, Vermilion Lakes, Lake Minnewanka, Canmore, and back to Calgary Springbank.
This is one of the most specular flights in Canada.
