#Nature #Sightseeing United Kingdom Exclusive Drag and Drop
  • Go sightseeing in the capital cities of Scotland and England.
  • Enjoy the varied coastline of the British mainland.
This Bush Trip reverses the journey completed in the first leg on the West coast of the British mainland. It does not matter in which order you complete the two bush trips. In Britain the journey from John O'Groats to Land's End is famous. It takes in the most North Easterly point of the British mainland and the furthest South West. The journey is covered as an endurance event using a variety of transport (on foot, by bike etc.) often to raise money for charity. There are also speed records between the two points. The record for the 874 miles by aircraft is held by 'Black Mike' a RAF Phantom which completed the journey in just 46 minutes and 44 seconds! (Many thanks to Martinspans for sending me that fact). Our route is going to take us around the eastern coast of the mainland and is 1,240 miles (1,980km) long in 13 legs. I have tried to keep each leg to a maximum of one hour. Although not strictly a bush flight, we shall enjoy tours of two capital cities as well as the rugged and historic coastline of Britain. I have chosen a variety of airfields from international airports to grass strips and everything in between. Below I have attached a list of the excellent third party scenery for cities, landmarks and airports which will add to the visuals of your journey. The flight can be completed without any of it but some of the features I mention in the flight notes will really come to life if you download the extra scenery and place it in your community folder on the relevant legs. All this software is free to download from flightsim.to and please comment on the relevant pages and consider donating to the originator if you enjoy someone's work. In some cases, there is more than one choice for a piece of scenery and where there is a choice I have put a letter next to the number on the list. In these instances both are not required. (I hope this makes sense!) New scenery is being developed all the time so please look at the scenery map on flightsim.to to check for updated information https://flightsim.to/scenery-map There is also a growing range of commercial add-ons that will improve the visuals of this bush trip and the promise of the World Scenery update from Asobo at the end of January to look forward to.
Many thanks to f99mlu for his BushMissionGen tool without which I could not have created this project.
To run my bush flight, just unpack the 'wick-stjust' folder from the .zip file and place it in your community folder. I hope you enjoy your trip!

When I went back to fly the second leg of the trip, the trip description and POI panel wasn't on screen. How do I get that back?

Once you start the flight the 'n' key should cycle the POI panel and the 'v' key the map. You can also use the menu at the top centre of the screen.
    Hope this helps.

Problem. I can see the "Navlog" icon, but when I press it nothing happens. Made sure I was on the default keyboard setting and also default assistance settings, but no joy. VFR map comes up OK with route. Tried just a general GA flight set up, and again the Navlog icon did nothing

Reading the Avsim and FS2020 forums shows this is not a unique occurrence and people have had it happen on the official Asobo bush flights. There is a thread this afternoon on the FS2020 forum where the suggested remedy is this:
Press the Customise icon (cog) and ‘Reset Views’, i think it’s called.
This should bring it back into position.

Failing this I would be tempted to delete the save game files for the bush flight (a quick Google will show you where these are hidden) and start again. You can use time acceleration on the first leg so it will take around 10 minutes to get to leg 2.
If you have any luck, please could you post the working solution to help others? I hope you get the chance to enjoy the full bush trip and sorry for your problems.

The command under "the cog" is "Reset Panels" and it worked! Onwards!

Just flown the first leg from Wick to Lossiemouth. Have driven this road a couple of times. People don't realise how tough the the stretch nearest Wick can be. Could even spot the laybye where we stopped to let the dog out for a walk. If the rest is as good as the first leg, this will be a real treat
