Here is the Chanaz aerodrome, located in France in the Savoie department, near the northern end of the Bourget lake. Chanaz is a touristic small town because of the attraction represented by the Savière chanel linking the lake to the Rhônes
It is an ultralight platform that goes unnoticed on the banks of the Rhône in a gap in the forest.
The grass runway is 300m long and 20m wide. Take-off 33 is preferential even if an electric line crosses it at its end. The landing in 33 is not lacking in charm with a final that ends between trees while flying over a pond. Be careful during the landing preparation east side, the runway disappears easily in the forest which surrounds it.
