About this file

I have lowered the thrust by about 8% to be more realistic to the actual A330-300. I have also taken the specs of an A330 for the fuel capacities of each tank. You can now load ~235,000lbs of fuel. (Note: The A333 was originally built with an unsealed and unused center tank; the A332 has a sealed and usable center tank. This mod includes use of the center tank.)

Additionally, I have adjusted the fuel burn to the A330 specs. I am not sure if this will translate to a realistic flight but the thrust is still okay and the fuel seems to be burning at a realistic rate per hour (about 1800lbs per hour per engine at idle and between 5900lbs to 6700lbs per engine per hour at high-max thrust). Cruising at 31,000ft at Mach .82 with a heavy load is burning a little over 4000lbs of fuel per hour per engine which doesn't seem quite right so I will play with it and update it.

The overspeed has been raised to Mach 0.86 and the cruise speed has been changed from the A320's 0.78 to the A330's 0.82 cruise mach.

These are the engines.cfg and flight_model.cfg files for the A330. Enjoy :)

How to install:

Find your A330 folder. Mine is in the official folder instead of the community folder. Browse to your local files and click

Microsoft Flight Simulator>Packages>Official>A330-300>SimObjects>AIRPLANES>Airbus_A330_300TR and then drag and drop the new files.

When doing this, you should receive a prompt to "replace existing files in destination". You can save the old ones somewhere else to back them up if you need to.

If you would like to support my work, I appreciate it! If you can't, that's okay too :)

I added this mod to the a330 file in my community folder and while the fuel load is now correct, the plane is not flyable anymore. IRS does not function, 70% of the overhead panel buttons, including the ones that control the IRS system, are not fuctional. Did I do something wrong? no install instructions were provided with this mod :(

I added instructions above in the description if you're having trouble. Nothing was updated in my community folder as my A330 is not installed there.

Additionally, these files are not to be updated in the A32NX folder. This will break the A32NX.

Download/reinstall the a330 and then replace the correct files with the ones I modified before moving it into your packages folder? Or it's not hard to find the fuel specs and change the numbers in the existing files you have for the a330.

Make sure you have the Stable version installed of A320NX not the dev version

I noticed that you said that you don't have the 330 in your community folder. Where did you put yours perhaps I will try it that way.

I put it straight into the Packages > Official > Steam with the default MSFS aircraft; you can give that a try but I haven't been flying the A330 in a while because it annoyed me that the cockpit was back in economy class due to the A320 defaults

I just installed the A32NX latest version and my A330 still works. I turn on the batteries etc. and the IR aligns after 7 minutes.

Do you guys have the A300 Autopilot working with the stable version 4.2 of the A32NX ?

    Thank you

My A330 and A320 autopilot functions like to act up and fly in circles sometimes. I fight with the AP until I get to a waypoint that it actually recognizes and then it follows the flight plan most of the time if there are issues from takeoff.

They have to replace both files in the same folder as the original and the A330 mod requires the A23NX mod. Game needs to be restarted before it's live.
