#Sightseeing Antarctica
A remote island near Antarctica:

My first try to create a photo scenery with Google and Earth 2 MSFS.
A small area is not covered probably due to lack of data? (Updates coming once I figured out how to set different LOD)

Hope you enjoy this frosty place.

On the scenery map, someone also made an airstrip for this Island.

All other LoD settings have a Google Watermark in them.
Not sure how to solve it.

Hi, I think you should do it as a single .cgl (aerial) file instead of having 16k textures that slow down loading of the sim significantly. Here is an awesome tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzAsfAvFK0k

The tutorial you used isn't for aerial images (flat 2D images of the ground), but for photogrametry (3D scans of cities including 3D buildings and such). Although it takes longer to merge every tile of the aerial into one file using the tutorial I linked, I think it's worth it.

Right now I don't think there is a easy and quick method like Ortho4xp for MFS. It's either merge every tile by hand or include 16k seperate files.

    Here is another tutorial: https://www.jottacloud.com/s/1619d6c999b0618432a8ab3eb117e124950

Thanks a lot for the link but I think that is just too complicated for me right now. I never worked with any design software until now.

Thanks for this. I posted this comment before, but I have been (really) trying to update McMurdo Station's Ice Runway (ICAO: NZIR) and surrounding buildings. I eventually gave up as I can't find enough 3D models to make it look realistic. The same problem with the small town of McMurdo Station itself. There isn't any photogrammetry available, and while MS did a pretty good job of putting down scenery, it can do with a bit of an update.
