    Please read the PDF or Word document as both have instructions on how to use the program! Also check the requirements section in the description and check you have all of that installed!

    As evanduijin mentioned. The mod removes icons for everything else. If you have two controllers that have no pictures and you create mods for them one will exclude the other!
    So to be clear... not only it removes all icons for mouse keyboards rudder pedals HOTAS... everything... if you have two similar mods created with this tool the two mods will exclude everything else including each other depending on the alphabetical order which is the order they load.

    Thus, although a fun tool it self defeats the purpose because instead of missing some icons you will be missing all but one.

    Maybe an update to the tool in the future would be possible?

    Thank you for the feedback. I can't promise anything as this type of mod is not well documented but I may try to fix it!

    It could be a problem with the new version. Upon installation the main program exe file is missing. I tried with the old exe moved in but it makes the same problem.

    Make sure to download the latest version (the 'Main File'), unzip it and run the 'Controller Icon Creator.exe' then go to the location of install and open the folder called 'Controller Icon Creator - Update' and run the 'Application.exe'. I have just downloaded and tested it myself and it worked. So I don't understand why it wouldn't work at your end. Good Luck!

    Did it again. There is no application exe!
    Please check maybe you have it because you compile/build the app?

    Yes, in a new folder where I cannot find the application.exe Not sure what happens.

    I have now updated the install instructions (see below), if you could try them and see if it fixes the problem!

    Extract the .zip file, open the folder inside, then open the 'Program' folder and run the 'customiconmsfsdevice' application.

    it's not working. It misses the field with the device ID and gives this error

    The input image must be named the product ID hyphen the name of the device, e.g. ('0002-Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro')

    No, it works just the same. I mean there is no error now executing the program but it has same results like in the first version.

    Yes, but I have made it so that when you select the image in the file browser you can select multiple images so that you can include images for all of your flight sim gear! This will put them all in the same package so that they all show up. This also gets round the problem you were having that when you used the package you could only have one piece of gear that had an icon!

    Maybe but it still makes all other icons go away, TSRP Rudder pedals, Warthog HOTAS, Keyboard, mouse... gone,

    Sorry, but there is not much I can do about this until (if there is ever better documentation about this type of mod). The best thing I can do to get around this is to allow you to use multiple images.

    Well that works fine for showing an image of my freedom 3.4 joystick, but at the same time mouse and keyboard image are gone, is there a way to fix that?

    As far as I understand keyboard and mice do not have images of them built in to the flight simulator. You need to add them in using a tool such as this one.

    My mouse and keyboard had an image in the controller window (both logitech) After this mod the joystick has an image but the mouse and keyboard not anymore. Removing the mod from community folder brought back mouse and keyboard image, but then of course joystick image was gone.

    No i did not use any mod to show mouse and keyboard image in flightsim The sim shows them automaticaly and removes them when your mod is used.

    I use Logitech devices and have not had an image come up automatically without using a mod. I believe there are only images for officially supported peripherals ( https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015912899-Peripherals-compatibility ). So I am unable to help. Sorry!

    The only thing I would recommend is trying the '[uimod]-mugz-addcontrols' part of https://flightsim.to/file/3530/ui-mods-and-tweaks-full-pack with the add-on you generated.
