Fellow simmers,
Here is my Livery of the PMDG 737 for MSFS2020.
The PMDG line of products use their custom utility called The PMDG Operations Center (OC2).
To maintain your entire PMDG fleet of aircraft (The DC-6 as well you own it), also provides you with a very easy way to install/uninstall/update your liveries. Please follow the detailed instructions below to install this paint. It may look like a lot of steps, but I made sure every step was covered from download to install.
NOTE: I will not offer this as a “Drag and Drop” livery as this method, while operational, does not ensure everything is created properly in the complex MSFS folder structure. When painters use the OC to package their paint, the installer takes care of all the items needed (json updates, aircraft .cfg edits, etc) automatically.
Also…should updates to the aircraft become available, the OC ensures all items are updated properly.
Here are the instructions:
1. Extract the PTP file from the downloaded zip file.
2. Place it anywhere your PC (typically the downloads folder).
DO NOT place it in the MSFS folder structure, including the Community folder (The OC2 will properly extract it there and update the Layout.json file automatically)
3. Press the Windows key on your keyboard
4. Type PMDG
5. Select the PMDG Operations Center and open as an Administrator
6. Follow these steps when Ops Center is open.
1. Click the Aircraft and Liveries menu
Choose Livery Utilities
2. Select the Simulator,Select the Product,Select the Variant
3. Click Install from PTP file
7. After the Open window opens, navigate to the folder you saved/extracted the PTP file to
8. Click Open.
9. Done
If you have any issues with the installation of the livery through the OC2, please contact PMDG Support at https://support.precisionmanuals.com/Main/
You an also go to their forums as many members can help with issues and the support team monitors there as well.
A special thanks goes to PMDG and the beta test crew I had the privilege to work with during the development of this fantastic plane.
Credits: All base textures included in my paints are included by permission from PMDG, as with any livery created by 3rd party painters. I would especially thank the PMDG Paint crew for the fantastic textures they gave us to work with, you guys are awesome!
Also Credit to the PMDG paint team for the accurate colors on this Westjet

Steve is a legend in the flight sim world for his dedication to providing us all great re-paints and he never disappoints. Great work as usual Steve and glad you're still around for us.

Hi Steve, thanks very much for this (and other) 737 repaints! One minor thing I noticed FYI is that the thumbnail for C-GWCN shows the tartan version in MSFS.
Cheers

Oooh...ok. I'll make an update when I get the chance. Making thumbs is a process and my eyes are getting old to see the little things (I know I should zoom but I just miss it sometimes, hehe)

Looks amazing! You have some of the best liveries I've seen thus far, looking forward to more hopefully! In case if it means anything to you I had suggested an Avelo 737 livery on the PMDG Discord, specifically, N701VL, not sure if it's something you're interested in, but in any case, I look forward to flying with these, and maybe getting more in the future!
Thanks,
Pompey Royal
P.S. I love the fact you are using the .ptp files, hopefully, that will have fewer problems as you had said!

Well, I take the thing about the Avelo livery back... right as I posted that someone replied to my message and said they just uploaded it.

The livery colours need to be improved. They are very far off from the real aircraft. Registration font is also way too light in weight.

Thanks for the feedback! I've found the pics on the web vary the color greatly but I can see on my pics (can't believe I didn't notice, but pretty exhausted with painting and beta testing). The "Jet" in WestJet looks off compared to the tail...but I'm not sure which is closer to reality.
I have the official colors but they are way to light in the sim.
Do you have any good RGB, CYAN or Hex color codes that you've found work good for the greens/blues for Westjet...IN THE SIM? I''d love to use the official colors...but way too bright.
Hope to get some good feedback as I want to give you the best Westjet I can :)
The PMDG painters made 2 WestJets too and they are in the livery list in the Ops Center (at the bottom).
Can you tell me if the colors on those are what we're looking for? I trust it is as the painter is also a big WestJet fan.
Let me know and I'll make it right!

The file's name is "DO NOT SHARE BETA..."? I guess It'll work. Thanks for your great job!

That is bizzare.....I'm seeing it as the name I gave it after the beta period. can you give me the exact name of the zip file...or is this inside the zip?
