Is this fix still needed?

Really love the slower speed with full flaps and the quicker take off. One thing I noticed and maybe you can check... with no flaps and throttle at idle, I seem to be able to almost sustain level flight. It will eventually stall(high 60's) but i seemed to be able to fly a considerable distance before stalling.

That is indeed a thing I'd like to fix and has been on my list for a while but I haven't put the work in. I will do so soon

My sole real world flying experience is a few hours in Tomahawks... but I can't believe that an aeroplane that is expected to land in some pretty challenging locations would have flight characteristics as dangerous as depicted in the sim!
I Ill give this a go!

Finally after this mod I have a MSFS plane that has e believable flight model. It now requires much more attention to the power settings when you land resulting in a much more challenging and rewarding experience, as I believe it should be. Thanks you very much.
PS. Can you fix the Milviz Porter to please, also not enough drag with full flaps and it bounces all over the place when you land.

I really appreciate the kind words. Thank you.
I'll take a look at the Porter. I've generally been happy with it and I really don't think I can do much about the bouncing but the next time I fly it I'll do so with a critical eye for flap drag and other stuff

Great mod! Its much more flyable at low speed.

If this is wrong, I'll take wrong any day - the Kodiak is now much more fun and stable at slow speed. Great work.

I appreciate that!

Only feedback i have is that when landing you don't gain enough control of the rudder until below 30-31 knots ground speed. Full rudder does almost nothing until then. Very difficult in PNG but i'm overcoming it with beta on every landing.

Ah, thanks for that. I'll do a bit of tweaking!

Hello, is this mod still valid for ver 1.0.4?

Yes it is

It doesn't turn into a death trap below 60 knots so I guess it feels good, I wonder what turboprops you have flown IRL though

Thousands of hours in various high-power types below 20000 lbs (AC690, AC695, Metro 2/3, Cheyenne 2/3, etc etc) in all conditions - enough to know when a plane doesn't fly like a plane

Could you include instructions for installing it?

Yup, no problem. It's as easy as unzipping the file into your community folder like any other mod but I'll add that in

"Definitely wrong?" You bet! You're telling me an airplane with these barn door flaps can come down at greater than 500fpm at idle, full flaps? 1400fpm?! What, do you think flaps are drag devices or something? What kind of black magic is this!? 😁
Seriously, thanks for releasing this. I don't have real-world Kodiak time - closest I have is a few hundred hours in Caravans - so I can't say it flies more like a Kodiak now. But it flies more like an airplane, anyway. 😉

I appreciate the kind words! Talking descent rates, do yourself a favour and try an aggressive forward slip. With the added fuselage side area it's glorious

It's hard to rate this mod since I'm a not a Kodiak pilot, but the mod seems to improve the default version quite a bit and it is even more fun to fly now. 😊
Great work and I hope you will continue updating it when SWS releases new versions/updates of the Kodiak.

I'm glad I stopped to read the actual description because I at first assumed these "definitely wrong" mods were fun mods to create 500 knot Kodiaks or something. 😊 Love the attitude and the freedom it gives you when rivets start getting counted!

Nah, it's just a bit of tongue-in-cheek sarcasm. It's my style sometimes
