The historical landmark canal bridge in Briare, inaugurated in 1896, enables ships navigation on the Loire canal to cross the Loire river.
Gustave Eiffel, the famous engineer, was one of the member of the construction team.
The steel structure bridge has been the longest canal bridge in the world until 2003.
It features wonderfull decoration, that makes it a favourite place for romantic promenade, cycling and river navigation.
The bridge was handcrafted, with a high level of details, using photos i shot on site on purpose for this scenery.
The scenery also includes the historical locks in Rogny. This group of 7 locks were built at king Henri IV's request, in 1605.
