Robin Cap10 FAP-1355 Skin

Ready for Microsoft Flight Simulator patch – 1.10.7.0

WARNING: In order to get rid of the tail number of the sides and the belly you need to modify the native CAP10 AIRCRAFT.CFG located in the following directory:

...\Packages\Official\OneStore\asobo-aircraft-cap10c\SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_Cap10C

Following modification has to be performed:

atc_id = "" ; tail number

atc_id_enable = 0 ; enable tail number

Thank you BaroqueNickel52, for implementing this solution.

This Robin Cap10 skin is Inspired by the Portuguese Air Force Chipmunk Mk 20. Portuguese Air Force (FAP), received its first DHC-1 Chipmunk Mk. 20 in 1951, being delivered to the Military Aeronautical School in Sintra. It was the first of 76 machines of which 66 built were in Portugal. They serve to train Portuguese pilots for decades, the Chipmunks would fly with the Elementary Flying Training Squadron (Esquadra de Instrução Elementar de Pilotagem). As of 2018, Esquadra 802 still operates Chipmunks.

This skin serves as a tribute for its remarkable longevity.

    great livery ! and 2 different wings !!

    PS: for the removal of the tail number, did you try with the following lines :

    atc_id = ´ ; tail number

    atc_id_enable = "0" ; enable tail number

    and

    atc_id_color = #AAAAAA ; color for the tail number : i.e. "#ffff00ff"

    atc_id_font = "" ; font for the tail number

    It works to have no visible sign of tail number for the G36 - see repaints (better than "-" or "+" or "." !!)

    Sorry for the late reply!

    I didn't try that specific workaround for the removal of the numbers. But I'll see into it. I left the "+" because no everyone is interested in removing the numbers.

    Thank you so much for your support.

    Hei !!! BaroqueNickel52... thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, I didn't find a way to completely remove the number. Editing de file didn't work for some reason... and if I left only a "space" the game hang. I will keep looking for a solution. Rest assured I will share it.

    yeah, I am also working on a Cap10 livery and I am stuck on this final problem for 2 days.. aircraft.cfg seems to be one the keys but it also seems there is another file to modify.. i also notice that filling A/C id without space ("") the tail number becomes the native livery's one. I believe there is texture.cfg line to change because it seems to be the links to the native references, but cannot manage to find which one. I continue to work on it too, I will let you know also

    EDIT: I found a way, but it is needed to modify native Cap10 in official folder
    Step 1 : in new livery community folder, modify aicraft.cfg as follow
    atc_id = "" ; tail number
    atc_id_enable = 0 ; enable tail number

    Step 2: official folder open cap10 and also modify aicraft.cfg as follow
    atc_id = "" ; tail number
    atc_id_enable = 0 ; enable tail number

    Great job! I will go and try it out after work. Meanwhile, I will follow your thought line and try to find a way without having to change the original livery.

    Maybe pointing it to a different / modified file.

    Hello, nice work! I can see you left tail number as "+", did you find a way to remove it completely?
