Thank you!
Thanks for dropping by and checking out my livery! If you like it, feel free to leave a like and perhaps a comment with any feedback, positive or otherwise. I'm more than happy for it to be used in screenshots and on streams etc, with credit. I hope you enjoy it, and the fabulous DC-6 PMDG have created!
About
This is the first release in a series of whif liveries I'm working on for the DC-6, running through British Midland's history from Derby Airways (1959) through BMA to British Midland (1997). I may go later and do the modern 'bmi' if I fancy it...
This particular livery is the first 'Diamond Service' livery from 1986, based on Vickers Viscount G-AZNA, thus I've subsequently nicknamed it the 'Discount Viscount' and given it G-AZND :-)
I wanted to do them in date order earliest to latest, but I've got most accurate info for this era paints so started here first. Think of it as BMA venturing into long-haul earlier than 2001!
Very nice! Would you be keen on doing an Imperial Airways or BOAC version?

Absolutely lovely for a BM fan. My aunt use to be an air hostess with Derby Airways (before BMA, BM and BMI) and I was lucky enough (6 years old then) for a flight in one of DA's old DC-3's from Burnaston (Derby airport) in the 60's. This brings back good memories. Thank you.
