Are you tired of doing the origin check just to find that everything is in the correct state? Would you like to climb in to the cockpit and find it just as you left it? Or why not roll the dize and pretend that someone let a bunch of kids loose in the cockpit?

PersistentCRJ is an app that saves the state of just about every switch and knob as well as spoilers, flaps, thrust levers, arm rests, wheel chocks etc. You can either save it manually or let the app save it automatically with a certain interval.

New in 3.2
  • Removed some controlls that was causing issues
  • Removed Connect button since it's not necessary
  • Autosave now saves to disk directly
  • Fixed a bug that caused the installation to fail if the FSUIPC module wasn't installed
Install instructions

1. Just double-click PersistentCRJInstaller.msi and follow the instructions

Usage

Start MSFS and load the CRJ. There are two ways to save the cockpit state:

  • Manually by pressing "Save from file"
  • Automatically by pressing "Auto save". The state will be saved whenever you flip a switch or turn a knob.

To load a saved state, press "Load from file".

And if you wanna go bananas, press "Randomize" :-)

Important message

This will be the last update. There are still some issues, i.e. the values that I get from the sim do not always match the state I'm seeing in the sim. I have no clue how to fix that but the source code is now available on github so feel free to try and fix it if you want :-)

Removed some controlls that was causing issues
Removed Connect button since it's not necessary
Autosave now saves to disk directly
Fixed a bug that caused the installation to fail if the FSUIPC module wasn't installed

  • Version 3.1 September 19, 2021

Installer - The installer makes it easier to install and uninstall the app. It copies the Lvar module to your community folder and removes it if you uninstall the app
New Lvar module - The app uses the latest version of the FSUIPC Lvar module
Improved autosave - The way autosave works have been improved (using callbacks whenever a control is changed)
Improved connectivity - The app will try to identify when the aircraft is loaded and activate all the buttons. If it doesn't auto-connect there's a button to do it manually.
    Improved UI - Added tooltips

  • Version 3.0 April 12, 2021

This is a completely new version of the application, from scratch. It includes the following features:
    * [NEW] Randomizer that sets a lot of controls in a random state, nice for practicing check list discipline :-)
    * [NEW] Load cold and dark state (applies only to the controls that are saved by this app)
    * Saves/loads the state of just about every switch and knob, spoiler, flap, thrust levers, arm rests and wheel chocks
    * Auto save function that saves the state in a certain interval (2 sec default)

  • Version 2.2 April 10, 2021

    Now with autosave!
To enable autosave, just click File->Autosave. The default interval is 2 sec, but you can change this by entering a different value in the ini file.

Also added some more controls (e.g. the arm rest on the captain side as well as the wheel chocks).
