    Description

    Simply unzip and place into your community folder to install.

    This can be considered a work in progress and is my first attempt at weathering/dirtying up and aircraft. If anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated!

    The tag over the UN logo on the tail is just a generic graffiti tag from an artist in Berlin. It's not very realistic, but I wanted to avoid putting political graffiti or propaganda.

    Thanks! Glad you can appreciate the lore behind it. The UN has some aircraft in service that are far worse off than this.

    I used to fly RW B200 and B1900 out of Kenya for UNCAS (United Nations Common Air Services) back in 1997-1998. Usually we were UN201/202/etc. We also had a C208 in the operations based out of an airport that I've now forgotten which one was. I don't have any photos of the Caravan unfortunately. BUT, our UN paint (text and symbol) was always in the traditional UN Blue and not black paint scheme. Perhaps you want to make another version accordingly (it's the standard UN blue that you can find on many online photos).

    I liked the way you made your first attempt on weathering. It is far more better then other options that i have seen. I would like to see another weathered livery. Could be standart caravan livery maybe, i don't know. But i would love to see a usual livery in your weathering effects.

    Thank you, I appreciate the feedback! I definitely plan on experimenting with weathering some more. When you say "usual" livery, are you talking about a plain colored aircraft with no text or logos? Or something else? Cheers

    Omg, that one was hilarious - not only the plane was somehow vandalized -but even the ATC decided to make fun of them :D

    This looks really nice. With an the aircraft that dirty though the cargo box on the right side would be black with soot from the engine exhaust. Its nice to see others adding weathering not all aircraft are pampered.

    Thank you! I was playing around with some exhaust soot, but I wasn't able to accomplish anything that looked remotely realistic. Look forward to that perhaps in the next update. I'd also like to figure out how to make the panels overall look less glossy and reflective, but I am not sure that's possible.

    You need to look at adjusting the COMP files. Both for the reduction of the glossiness and the soot.
